What a overpaid bush-league, flash in the pan, choke artist Dickbag McGee this guy is.

EDIT:

But then again, I'm an idiot and should not breed.

Do you really think the Royals would put their ace out on the mound if he was hurt? I don't.

He's just in a major funk. Honestly I think he should take a start off and rest. He's probably mentally and physically tired. It happens...esp in your arm. He's losing a little zip on his fastball, and has really lost command. I bet he has a dead arm. He can still throw, he's not hurt...but for those who've pitched, when your arm goes dead it just feels like nothing's there. When you get tired your muscles become less repetitive, and then your mechanics go to hell and you try to overcome that it just snowballs into a ****-mess of a problem and it's hard to pull out of it, because it gets mentally draining because you think you're doing all you can...and he's a competitor, and I assume it's very bothersome.

Again, I think he should skip a start, and just rest....esp right before the ASB..give him that extra time.

Just my opinion.

Struggling a bit, but still 8-4 with a 1.2 WAR.

We have two massive turds at -0.8 and -0.9 last I looked. They deserve more hate for sure. And they play the two biggest offensive positions

Could be wear and tear. He's getting older. On the other hand... it's not like he's out there tearing his arm up with splitters.

It's easy to forget one of those years in Tampa he posted a 5+ ERA and bounced back fine. Just like Ervin Santana did before coming to KC. These guys will have solid careers at the end of the day, but sometimes pitchers have down years. Or maybe he's just gone over the hill.

This. A pitcher only has so many pitches in his arm. Leading the league in innings pitched multiple years isn't a category that I consider to be one you want to be the leader in. Not too many dudes have the arm that can take that.

The good news is that it won't hurt to lose him after this season nearly as much as we all thought.

I think it's all in his head. This is his payday year. If he were to pitch this year like he has in years past, he'd be looking at a $100MM contract. If he continues like he has recently, he'll be looking at the same thing that happened to Santana. No one will be willing to put up that kind of money for a pitcher with question marks. I think he's trying too hard to make the big pay day.
