More Amazing: Justin Houston missed entire season worth of games but his 48.5 sacks since 2013 2nd-best behind JJ Watt (50). H/T to Jay Gruden.

That's incredible. Call me biased, but when he's healthy he's better than Von Miller IMO.

Miller may be a better pass rusher but Houston is the better all around OLB. Name me one weakness in Houston’s game. Run game? Nope. Pass coverage? Ask Amendola. Pass rushing? He’s 2nd in sacks despite missing a season since 2013

I’m not even convinced Miller is a better pass rusher.
He rushes the passer more frequently than Houston does and still puts up less sacks. |

Sutton is a very good DC, he is making bad CB's look better than they are by giving them help. Losing Ford could hurt vs a team like the Redskins who have a legit QB who can make a D one dimensional. Not sure who the Redskins RB's are, thought their backup got hurt too vs Faders. |

Hah. Those bad CBs have given up fewer passing TDs than your all-world criminals.
Funny how that works. |

Noticed several media folks starting to note that we're a "4th quarter team." I'm confident part of that is holding Houston's blitzes until the 4th, keeps him fresh and hits the opponent hardest when they're weakest.

I don't know if this was mentioned anywhere else but I saw that ESPN showed a stat Monday night that said Houston hasn't even rushed the passer over half the plays so far this year. WTF?
I seriously hope this isn't an every week thing. I get it from time to time when you are trying to be unpredictable for offenses, but there's no way I'm leaving the Ferrari in the garage over half of the time... |

He's a great overall LB. He can do it all which is his biggest strength. Only rushing him 50% of the time makes it hard for offenses to figure out what he is doing play-to-play and decide how much attention to give him when blocking. Then when we do rush him we can avoid double-teams at times. Doing that for certain opponents is fine with me. I'm sure Sutton has his reasons. Justin Houston covering TEs or a WR though cannot happen unless we are going to get the QB QUICK! I'll give you that. He's got to be in zone. |
