Hunter has actually been pretty steady over the past 4-5 years, with OPSes ranging from .765 to .820.
I'm not sure how much longer he can do that - he'll be 40 next July - but he wouldn't be a terrible signing if the price is right. He's not a great RF anymore (in fact, below average), but not a bad option to rotate between RF and DH. Nick Markakis, Melky Cabrera, Michael Cuddyer and Torii Hunter are probably the best bats available in RF. I imagine Markakis will be pretty expensive, as will Cabrera (who wants to stay in Toronto, to boot).

How many guys will take a 1-yr after hitting 17hr/33 doubles/113 wRC+? Also he's a great clubhouse guy, Dayton already tried to sign him once, and he hates taking walks. He's perfect
But tell him not to bring a glove. He won't e allowed out in the field |

Hunter's family is from Northwest Arkansas/Little Rock, as I recall. He had a huge group at the K when the Tigers were here for that final series. Might help in attracting him.

It would be so epic to play the Cards in the World Series. If we lost though...
And the K better not be 50-75 percent red either. |
