Guess how many points Ray Lewis thinks the 2018 chiefs score against his defense...

3.

Ed Reed says 10.

Phil Simms says 7.

And they are all dumb ****s

Depends. If we are playing under year 2000 rules and refs, our point total would be potentially under 20. BUT, if under 2018 rules, no way we score less than 30.

That guy needs to go back and look at some of the scores from their games that year. By the way they had 4 losses as well.

To be fair in those 4 losses their offense scored 21 points. They won every game that year when their offense scored at least double digits. Their defense allowed like 10 points a game, which is pretty absurd.

I'm pretty sure that's what he means. I would HOPE that's what he means. Ravens "Lewis/Reed" defense at its peak, under the old rules, vs this current Chiefs O-line?

Oh Jesus....

The biggest problem the Ravens would still have is there weren't mobile QBs who could run and throw like Mahomes and Rodgers can. There were guys who could certainly pass the ball, and guys like Kordell Stewart who could run, but they weren't anywhere near the level of passer that you'd see today. Of course their DBs could maul the KC receivers without penalty.
Great post and I agree with this. Chiefs offense isn't built to score pts in the early 2000s it's built to score pts in today's era. Ravens defense it is the same thing only reversed.

One aspect that is in the Ravens favor is that when great defenses go against great offenses often times the defense is the winner. All you have to do is look at Broncos vs Seahawks Super Bowl XLVIII

Yeah they did. But does that really change anything? That means they allowed like 6 points per game in the other 19 games of the season. The 85 Bears got lit up by Marino. It's not like every great team is perfect all year. The 99 Rams was maybe the best offense ever and they had to win an 11-6 game to get to the Super Bowl.

Back when Sir Charles got to elbow his way in and score... About the time I stopped watching that thing they called basketball.

That my point. Lewis can't say something like that with a straight face. Two different eras and they did get lit up once that season while losing four games. Its stupid to sit there and say "oh yeah, we would hold this chiefs offense to 3 points." Guy is full of shit.

If the rules went back to how they used to play then 3 would still be too low. That defense was good but this O is just as good.

I'd say something like 20-17 Chiefs.

We weren't even healthy against the Ravens so they didn't get the best we got. Tyreek was limping we are without a #2 WR and our Oline is dinged. I think a healthy O and Patrick would put up 4 TD passes against the Ravens Ray Lewis. You can't stop the no look pass.
