Living Room - Samsung UN60D7000 (sweet deal on a floor model)
Bedroom - Samsung UN46C8000 (moved from living room due to sweet deal on the 60") Bonus Room - Samsung UN55ES6500 (not our primary TV, but wanted a good size for sports/movies) I've had nothing but good luck with Samsung's LED's, and even though some of the plasmas were tempting (Panasonic GT and Samsung 8000), I couldn't shake the concerns inherent to the technology (buzzing, burn-in, heat) when spending that much on a TV. |

I've got a 2 year old Samsung 55 inch LED......that I moved to the bedroom after I bought a panasonic GT-60 inch 3-d plasma for the living room.
I used to be a non-believer of plasma....and a huge fan of Samsung LED...... But now, after I've had both in the house for about 4 months........I prefer the more natural look of the panasonic plasma. It freakin' rocks blu-rays and PS3!!! When you talk to anyone at magnolia or high-end shops....all the staff will push plasma - and trust me, I wasnt buying into it at first. I'm so glad I made the plasma choice now.....it freakin' rocks!

Samsung Plasma, Samsung DLP, Sharp Aquos LED, Toshiba LED, RCA LED.
Samsungs are the best, overall, for the price IMO. The Sharp is the best looking, with best speakers. The Toshiba is meh, but was relatively inexpensive. The RCA has a built-in DVD player; POS for the kids to use & not worry about them breaking.

Samsung is always my first option. I have never had any issues and find they produce as good a picture as any. The friends I have in electronics all tell me the same....Samsung.

LG 50" PLasma - why?...because I got it for $525. I was going to get an LCD 120hz but it was more expensive and was only a 42" if I recall.
Love the Plasma

You boys and your toys! It must have hurt like hell watching the Chiefs lose that big.
All the info is very helpful though, thanks! I'm shopping around for a new TV and have been leaning toward a plasma for some time. Think I'm on the right track.

Plasma will get you the most bang for your buck at this point.
the rest will depend on if you want Plasma/LED/LCD, smart TV etc.

I have noticed this too. Much better value in terms of screen size for the money with the Plasmas. We went with a 40" Samsung LCD but I think I might go for a bigger size Plasma next time around.
