I saw the bootleg; it didn't bother me. As far as I'm concerned, she should be the most powerful member of the team.

I really hate to try and rank or rate movies because I tend to get caught up in the moment and my opinion can change depending on the day, but I will say I felt like this one was like Winter Soldier on steroids.

I enjoyed both of the Avengers movies very much. This one was on par with those two in terms of enjoyability, for sure.

Just saw it in IMAX 3D. Good flick. Not amazing but better than Ultron, on par with CA:WS, and way better than IM2 or IM3.

Now that I'm awake again, more detailed review...

I found it a bit slow at parts but no more so than during the exposition parts of any of the other Marvel films. It was certainly less than in DC's "BvS".

I do find the whole "we need to control them" thing a bit tiresome. It started with the X-Men franchise, and now permeates both the Marvel universe and the DC universe, on the big screen as well as television (major themes in "Shield", "Supergirl"). But it wasn't too heavy-handed in this film.

Oh, in case anyone had their doubts, Scarlett Johannson still has a ridiculously hot body.

I enjoyed the Cap/IM adversarial positions. It plays to the strengths of both characters (and both actors) and continues themes already established in both the CA and IM films. But, as much as I love RDJ, he's looking old. It might be time for him to give up the character, as perfect as he is for it. The dude just turned 51 last year. Chris Evans is only 34, Scarlett's 31, and even Renner and Ruffalo are younger than RDJ.

Sebastian Stan does what he can. They don't really let him show a lot of personality, although there's more of it here than before. He mainly whacks people and looks pissed off, which is okay. Mackie has some funny lines, as does Rudd, and RDJ of course. The thing I like about the Marvel unverse is that, as I mentioned, they can tackle the same themes as X-Men and DC but they just don't seem... so... well, I guess the best description is religion. "Man of Steel" and "BvS" is like Catholicism: very dreary, heavy-handed, monotonously droning the catechism into your bran; Marvel is like a lighter branch of Protestantism... it's the same themes but it's more light and breezy and there's more fun (Protestant branches sing and have fun, Marvel characters joke and look/fight cool).

I liked how, instead of painting it with broad strokes, they tied it specifically to the characters as their motivations for wanting more/less control by human oversight. As for the various characters and their screen performances: Spiderman... Spoiler! ...I enjoyed this version. He's literally brand new to the scene, as the exposition states he's only been crime fighting for a short time and doesn't even have a real suit yet. He's also VERY young, so the fact that he doesn't kick the shit out of everyone isn't a problem because, sure, he's got superpowers, but he's also a small teen and isn't at the height of his abilities yet. The wisecracking fit that of a teen. The actor doesn't "look" like one would expect but neither did Garfield or Maguire so it's not a big deal to me; besides, Peter Parker is supposed to look pretty ordinary. Scarlet Witch... Spoiler! ...I don't know a lot about. Her powers seem ambiguous; in one scene she's throwing electric-y orbs, in another she's using it like a shield the way the teen girl in "The Incredibles" does. They also seem to lessen her abilities, like Spidey's, due to her size and sex; it seemed like she gets whacked from behind a lot. No real issues, though, as she's not the main focus of the film. Ant-Man... Spoiler! ...doesn't get a lot of screen time, but his scenes were funny and I did not know about the giant-sized version so that was cool.
