And if you think I'm being hard on Dyson, you should've read some of DeezNut's posts about him back when we sucked.
I don't understand the 'lazy' criticism of Dyson at all. He needs to pace himself more if anything, or he's going to get hurt. I mean, he could steal 80 bases if he played in the 80s when players didn't care about getting thrown out or trying to be strategic about base stealing.

Our team got way better when he returned. I didn't think he mattered that much, but this is clearly a different team when he's in the game. He makes the other team uncomfortable.

"Dats what speed do"

An example for you is lack of work on his fundamentals. When he attempts to steal second, sliding off the bag was a bit of a problem for him last year. He steals second last night, and he does it again. There is no way the coaches haven't drilled that in his head, and yet he still doesn't slide properly.

Another example is his first game back. He hit a line-drive that he could've turned into a hustle double, but he stayed at first. I think Hud got on him about that, but honestly, I was shocked he stayed at first. Part of the problem with that is not hustling out of the box.

Obviously, these things are out-weighed by the WOW-plays he makes. Coming home on a pop up, stealing 2nd and 3rd in a blink, and as you said, just making defenses nervous. That's part of the reason I wish he'd clean up some of his issues. He could be 10x better.

At first I thought La Canfora's Orioles schtick was cute. Then it got annoying. Then it became priceless fun. Now it's downright pathetic. A mult. account? He's so easy to troll now.

Don't forget hustling down the line for infield singles.

Yeah, something like "this is the worst of the already weak rotation" or some shit. I don't doubt that's true of the Orioles, but things aren't going to get easier for them. I think KC probably has the pitching advantage in every single game this series.

The sliding thing is a fair criticism, but that's more to my "little things" point than laziness, IMO (although I understand how it could be considered lazy).

As for the rest, I think that's just him being cautious coming back from an injury.

I'd take this rotation over any of the junk the Orioles have in theirs.

Totally. And the O's aren't even going to face Volquez or Kennedy.
