Matthew Berry FINALLY, after THREE YEARS, agrees with me

RUNNING BACKS ARE NOT HOW YOU WIN FANTASY FOOTBALL

He listed Calvin and Jordy as his top two flex plays of the week.

I've been saying for YEARS you don't win by drafting Adrian Peterson first overall.

Through 2 weeks...

Top 3 picks:

Peterson (dead)
Charles (dead)
McCoy (ok, but arguably the 2nd most valuable RB on his team)

...

Someday people will realize this isn't 2000 and there aren't any Marshall Faulks or teams that rely on RB's to score any more...

DRAFT QB'S
DRAFT WR'S
DRAFT TE'S

FIND VALUE RUNNERS LIKE RASHAD JENNINGS LATE

Profit.

Sounds like a question on Jeopardy.

Who are three guys you have no chance of rostering unless you're 1-4 and have the 1st, 2nd or 3rd waiver priority?

If you are in a league of competent individuals fantasy football is almost all luck at this point. FFL has reached a point where everyone has the same information available to them, and they can all interpret it well enough, so there aren't any market inefficiencies.

Say what you want about decrying the RB position, but I will bet you that a plurality of people who won their leagues last year drafted Jamaal Charles or LeSean McCoy early.

This isn't baseball where you can expect, sans injury, your stars to put up numbers that are 90-110% of their career averages every year. Some years Calvin Johnson will put up huge yardage numbers and get tackled at the one almost ten times.

FFL has far fewer games and is consequently more subject to variance. The more variance you have the more luck is needed.

Championships in 2012 and 2013. Drafted RBs high and QBs in the 6th-8th rounds and killed both leagues.

Yep...it's all about drafting a QB super high.

I took AP second overall in a league this year. It's a FA bid league. Everyone starts with $100.

I'm currently last at 2-3. Placed an aggressive bet on both Oliver ($33) and Hillman ($24) to be outbid. Someone bid $60 for Oliver and $38 for Hillman.

Brutal. My WRs who were pretty solid last year - Keenan Allen and Corrdarrelle Patterson haven't done shit.

That is absolutely insane. They don't score more than 10 points this week.

They make sense for a guy like me who is fighting to gain ground and make the playoffs.

I'm rostering Lacy, FJax, Crowell, and some other bums.

Oliver and Hillman will lose some touches once their starters return, but I thought both winning bids were a joke.

The best RBs available according to Yahoo are McCluster, Greene, Taliaferro and Hillis.

Dear Jesus please let Fred Jackson play.

I have Fred Jackson starting this week. We'll be fine there. Ha, you are struggling with RB's, but things are looking up for Lacy. Gotta love McCluster being one of the best available. I mean, you have to be looking REAL DEEP in a 20 team league to grab DMC.

I had to part with Jeffery and Sankey to land Lacy. Huge risk, but so far so good.

If FJax doesn't play a guy I'm intrigued by is Antone Smith of the Falcons.

Talk about deeeeeeeeeeeeep.
