Had a friend who did Lyft for a bit over a year, never had an issue.

I did Lyft today in Dallas and it seemed just fine. The interface might even be a tad better.

I've been roving for Uber for about 8 months now. Pretty solid for a 2nd job, god for $200-$300 a weekend. The recent cuts suck, but with the low gas prices they haven't hurt me. As long as your OK with drunk, annoying college kids, you'll be fine. They can be pretty entertaining, especially when I pack 7 hot, drunk sorority girls in my SUV.

I must admit that it was simpler than I thought, but I hope it was OK dropping a 5-spot on the Uber driver because the no-tipping thing seems pretty terrible to me. He even said that you don't tip in Uber, I told him I was old and old people tip. Hell, I even cash-tip my Execucar drivers on the KC end (rides to and from the airport on travel days) because A) My travel lady needs to arrange those in advance, and B) Uber didn't show a driver around Lee's Summit last Monday morning at 5:00am (yeah, I checked). Oh, and C) Lyft isn't in the KC area...

So I Execucar to/from the KC airport on travel days, but I think I'll try the Uber/Lyft thing vs. cabs on the other end if I'm not getting a rental car.
