Fivehead's time is possibly over

@ProFootballTalk: Near end of Sunday's game, Jim Nantz said Peyton told CBS crew that he's no longer certainly returning, and that he's going to wait and see.

Should make things in the AFC West interesting

I don't really think one has to speculate drug use when a 38 year old player fading as the season goes on is actually not that surprising at all. There is, quite literally, no reason to assume he was cheating.
I told the Denver trolls on this board this would happen. He just looked tired the last month of the season and today he looked old and tired. The same will happen with Brady. He will be 39 in 60 days so it's hardly a shock his arm is finished.

Real test for the Broncos organization will be what they do after Manning does indeed retire. DEN fans about to feel our pain not having a QB. Osweiller isn't striking fear into any hearts. 8-8 may very well win the AFC West.

It would be the same end result we have now, but with higher expectations from a 11-5, 12-4 regular season.

I'm just saying with Manning gone it levels the playing field. Huge offseason for us coming up. Third year of regime is the time to see real progress or the seat starts to get a little warm. Time to make a real move.

If Manning quits I could see us going all in fixing the WR and OL and trying to make a real run

No matter what that should be done regardless if he retires or not. And in this third year ownership usually expects a real move toward real success like playoff wins. If not, the norm is the seats usually start getting warm. Pressure rises. We'll see. Big, BIG offseason coming up for our Chiefs and BIG third year of regime.

Horse face shitcans John Fox, brings Mike Shanahan back to Denver as HC (Elway loves Shanahan and the guy who fired the Rat from Denver… Pat Bowlen can't remember his own name currently).

Manning retires and Denver trades for Jay Cutler as their stopgap QB.

Shanahan and Cutler back in Denver.

That would be funny.

This game exorcised my hate for Manning. He obviously isn't the same guy who ripped my heart out time after time as a Chiefs fan. Even though I didn't like him its still sad to see one of the modern day greats go out like that. I wish him all the best with his pizza franchising.
