As for the game, Colbey is much better than Lucas or Bragg...

I told KU fans, that liked him, that he would be terrible. He's a smart guy though, he knows his shtick sells and he could get away with it. He's not as bad as Bobby Knight, but he's really bad. They are both horrid but in opposite ways.

I still expect us to lose in Stillwater, but Frank Mason is going to shoot 20 free throws. That team fouls more than West Virginia. I don't even know why, they just lack defensive understanding. I used to be high on Underwood, but he can't coach defense. He's just a flash in the pan mid major coach. People are way to high on him. He inherited a team with Jawun Evans, Phil Forte, and Jeffrey Carroll. He's performed exactly as expected, BFD.

Only won by 10, but it felt like KU was in control the whole game. Nice to see Coleby contribute tonight.

The thing I was happy about is he seemed to be able to move fluidly and jump more than 10 inches off the ground. I've been hard on him but man if we have this Coleby going forward it will help alot. He does all the dirty work we need.

It isn't me. I was a Lucas homer his sophomore year. He hasn't turned out as good as I'd hoped, but he is critical to our success. Moreover everything goes to **** when he goes to the bench.

Hate? I have no hate for any KU player, but it's clear that Colbey is much better inside. If he were healthy, Lucas would be backing him up.

I gave up on the game shortly after halftime because it was clear this was the 'Bill Walton Clown Show'......everytime I came back to the game and I found a split screen between Dumbass TieDie and the game.

For me, he's actually ended up far better than I hoped. Lucas has very little basketball talent (at least compared to most bigs that Self recruits), but he developed into one of the most valuable players on one of the best teams in the country for two years in a row. This team would be a relative trainwreck without him.

Initially, I kind of...maybe....like...was a bit homerish on how good he could be.

I was at a bar watching the game w/ my dad. This bar insisted on playing shitty country music rather than turn on the audio of the game. I happen to be turning away from the TV for a min when out of the blue I hear my dad say "wtf is Bill Walton doing?" I turn to look to find Bill Walton taking his shirt off on live TV. lol.

I think Walton is great entertainment and was perfect for this game. Its a crime he hasn't been to AFH.

Appearing scatterbrained is his thing, that, and being an unabashed PAC apologist. Still couldn't say enough great things about KU, Self, the program and this team. Where else are you going to get gems like:

"TCU is in the B12? How the hell did that happen!?"

Walton to Wilt: "You missed 5000 free throws in your career."

Wilt to Walton: "If I had thought they were important, I would have made them."

I get why he isn't some people's cup of tea, and if you tune in to get great basketball analysis, probably not your guy (that's not to say he doesn't know his shit), but he seemed very insightful about our team despite being a PAC cover person and made a ho-hum game interesting to tune in to. I hope he comes to Lawrence some day.

Oh yeah, and: "Texas is in a lot of games, they just never win any of them." About did a spit take!
