Anyone here doing the E-Cig / Vape thing?

Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.

Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.

I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.

I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

A lot of people/organizations want vaping gone for a myriad of reasons and are often associated with the research being done. I'll still cop a smoke once in a while when the opportunity presents and I'm amazed at how coarse it is on my lungs and how the chemicals hit my blood stream. Often feel slightly nauseous afterwards...but then again, I don't use nicotine in my e-juice.

What I don't get, or I'm asking, is a $300 box mod isn't going to do really anything different than a $30-$50 one. What's the appeal. The build quality and tech has improved, but it's not like driving a Benz vs driving a Buick.

I guess, I could understand forking over a few bills for a customized design that uses premium finishings, but as far a utility goes, what's a vaporshark, just for example, going to deliver that dozens of mods 1/4 the cost can't?

I wouldn't spend more than about $50 for a mod now. And that would only be if it offered something that I thought was interesting. I am not seeing anything worth several hundred dollars as far as functionality goes. I have seen some mods that are made expensively, with high quality materials and a very attractive form, but I wouldn't pay for that.

Me neither, most of the expensive mods kinda still look like, sure, that'd be cool to 16-17 year old me. Nothing stands out as really a refined luxurious look except for 1 mechanical mod I can recall off the top of my head, and it sells for $400.

Nope, not dropping $400 on a device that I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a new one in 18 months or so.

That Vaporesso Aurora is coming out in several styles now. I just saw this pic on their FB page:

I'll pay for something that fills a niche. Having a pocket vape is nice. And I got mine for around $25.

That's pretty much where I am at. I just bought a Smok Alien 220 from a shop online. $45. I like it so far.

I went to Smok after Segelei's Fuchai. It has been quite the solid mod. I dropped it tank-side down (square on the drop tip) on concrete and it is still firing. I did have to realign my battery pins to get it working, but that's a feat in itself.

I've heard a lot of stories like this. Its amazing how well the body can heal itself. I can breathe and smell better at the 15 day mark. My complexion seems to be getting a bit better, too.

If you have smoked for years, especially if after 30, significant damage has been done. Yes, the body has some amazing restorative properties, and quitting no matter the age is always fantastic.

Think of it this way.
As we age, our ability to rebound, rebuild, repair, and restore becomes more inefficient and ineffective.

Smoking is taking life's clock and on a cellular level advancing the tempo just a tiny fractional degree of even a second. The longer you do it, the more it compounds- which you can see a rebound in lung health when people do quit. The older you are and engaging in smoking the effect has a more significant toll on the body. Again, restorative lung health and functionality comparisons between young people who quit smoking and older people confirm this.

A brilliant doctor was lecturing on the future of human health and the reality of average life expectancies to balloon well into 120 and older. His point was that oncology and specific, isolated treatments were not just novel advancements needed, but fundamentally imperative for future generations. Why? Because the nature of cancer. If you are going to be living significantly longer, then the inevitable reality is that occurrence of cancer will become commonplace & rather matter of fact for upwards of 95% of the population. The longer an organism is sustainably active the degree of probability of mutation hits 1.
Sorry to wander off topic, but I guess it's a paradox of life to get older and see what things in retrospect that were simple little tweaks one could have made that you now see the longterm and lasting benefits.

Quitting smoking, and even if you replace it with vaping, is probably one of the top things that you can do to significantly improve your health and life.

I just turned 27 so I'm hopeful I stopped before I did any really significant damage. I was a pretty heavy smoker the last 3 years or so, though.

Genetics, my friend. Quitting at your age, you can generally expect to see very little long-term impact unless you have a genetic predisposition to certain types of cancers or illnesses that smoking can exacerbate the onset of the condition.

Here's a Vaporesso mod that I find interesting enough. I'm seeing it for about $60 on Gear Best:

http://www.gearbest.com/temperature-...pp_645058.html

If my Sigelei died today I'd probably buy something from Vaporesso to replace it. Here's a really long video on the Revenger:

Same here. I used the Fuchai for a year and a half, and still do. It is a fine mod. I keep my tfv8 on it and my Blazer 200 on the Alien.

Sub ohm vaping is great, but man your batteries don't last. I just ordered 4 more LG HG2s.

I'm seeing 20700 batteries out there (I assume to eventually replace the 18650's) with decent specs. Here's one at 3000 mAh and 40 Amp spike load/20 Amp continuous:https://www.imrbatteries.com/ijoy-20...t-top-battery/

I grabbed a Kanger Tech EVOD Pro. Takes a single 18650 and uses proprietary coils for a built in 4 mls tank. It really seems to be built for MTL. You don't adjust anything, Wattage is based on coil resistance and remaining battery voltage. Three options: 1.5 Ohm (starts OK but goes weak 2/3 of the way through), 1.0 Ohm (sweet spot), 0.5 Ohm (starts harsh but goes OK 2/3 of the way through. It's mah travelin' vape. Cost me $18.95 plus shipping so it's a bargain.
