I voted ILB, but I have serious concerns about our absentee pass rush too. Seems like Ford stinks when Houston is on the field, Tamba is 163 years old from the waist down and Houston is still a question mark.

I'm a huge Wisconsin homer, but I have a dream that we take a QB in the first, then snag TJ Watt in the 2nd.

If we upgrade our pass rush like that, I could care less about getting ILB fixed. Go through free agency if we have to

Pass rush > ILB

I can definitely buy that reasoning

Hali is done, Houston is questionable until proven otherwise, and Ford is streaky... without a consistent rush, we're doomed

We sucked when Johnson went down because he was out AND Ford fell off a cliff. It was a massively depleted group of guys we were trying to beat the Steelers with. If Ford had played like he was at the beginning of the year, and Houston was his old self, it wouldn't really matter all that much that Johnson was out. Just look at 2014, when we arguably had a LOT less to work with at ILB when Johnson went down.

Go spend money on an ILB. Dorsey obviously doesn't value the position in the draft. Sign some guys, roll with the DJ Alexanders we still have on the roster, and draft for more pass rushing talent, when it can be had much cheaper than if we tried to acquire it in free agency.

Obviously it's NT if Poe walks.

However... I think it's OLB. We are too thin there -- Hali simply is done, valuable as he is in the locker room.

An injury to Houston or even Ford would be really, really bad.

ILB is doable, however, with Ramik and Mauga, with March in the wings. And not only do we have an all-timer returning midseason, but I think you can draft good ILBs all over the draft, whereas you pretty much gotta go early and often for passrushers.

Agreed 100%. We need a rush backer out of this draft. ILB would be nice, but we're serviceable there.

I think we have the assorted pieces on the d-line to make it work if Poe is gone. I think re-signing Sorenson should be a priority, and another corner is never a bad thing. But give me a pass rusher first on defense out of this draft.
