IT'S TOO HOT!!!!

Did as much yard work as I could last night between 7:30 and sundown, finished the rest this morning before 9:30am. It's been mid to high 90's the last couple days, and will be there again today through at least Tuesday. I just work till I get tired, then I quit. My sister wound up in the ER in St. Louis yesterday with dehydration. She passed out after doing yard work for an hour. Everybody be careful out there. What are YOU doing to stay cool this weekend?

Well, 1:15 pm on Tuesday in OPKS, it's raining left to right outside my office window. Looks like we're finally getting some much needed moisture.

Sitting here with goosebumps on my arms, wishing I had a jacket (that I was still wearing around the office about a month ago), and it's a perfectly pleasant 80 degrees outside.

In a few hours, I'll go out and bask in my car... can't wait!

Sorry bud. I know a lot of folks from back home central Kansas that are downright desperate for rain. Most didn't get anything today. Those that did, got way too much at one time. WTF do you do?

Hope things get better.

Buy these electrolyte packs.

https://www.amazon.com/Emergen-C-Ele.../dp/B002HWRY5S

They really work. I use them to get through the summer here in Florida cuz I can get lightheaded and pass out too.

Drink lots of water and do not fear having some salt. It holds fluid in the body to keep it cooled down. And don't skip meals because heat can make you not feel like eating.

Oh, and it's hotter there than here. It's been 85-89% here but humidity around 58% on this Father's day. Couple of weeks ago it was oppressive humidity.
