Like I already mentioned, three players from the 2016 draft, a 3rd, 5th and 6th, have already been released.

Hopefully, Veach drafts guys that are ready or at least near-ready to contribute. Enough of the 1-2 years before they get even close to their ceilings.
Eh, they drafted quite a few guys that hit and played a lot of snaps early. But it seems as it wore on he kept drafting guys that were farther and farther from ready.

I get it in that normally guys that are ready to go day 1 go early, or are tapped out physically but that hasn't always been the case.

2013: Fisher, Kelce. Neither were ready to play in 2013. Knile Davis most prepared to contribute.

2014: Ford, Gaines. Neither were ready to play in 2014. DAT and Fulton contributed but good grief, Fulton was awful as a rookie.

2015: Peters and Morse. Nice selections. Conley, Nelson, Wilson, Alexander, O'Shaugnessy and Nunez-Roches were not even close to contributing.

2016: Chris Jones and Tyreek Hill contributed, Jones later in the season, not to start. KeiVarie Russell and Kevin Hogan didn't make it out of camp, Ehinger was injured early, Murray, Robinson and Nicolas were non-factors, as was DJ White, who was cut this year.

2017: Kareem Hunt. Kpassagnon has had some chances lately, McQuay was called up because 2 safeties in front of him went down and Eligwe and Chesson have yet to show anything.

Further to all of that, the Special Teams units, which are mainly comprised of young players developing, has been anything but special this season, outside of the Veach acquisition of Harrison Butker.

Sure. You've also gotta look at the fact that there weren't that many open starters spots there for the taking per say.

The Chiefs literally traded up for a player that was nowhere near ready to start.

Interesting fact (If you believe his Wiki page) he is Sean Taylor's cousin.

Build a strong pass rush unit and rotate them.
That's key. A strong pass rush can make up for deficiencies elsewhere. Can also help force turnovers etc.

Yep
I had hoped he would develop into another Casey Weigmann but he is just to injury prone and seems a slow healer. Also his pass blocking needs work big strong tackles impose their will on him. Now that may be his ankle just wont heal and tried to play through it.

If? If?

The mother****er is on IR for his back, had back issues coming out of Auburn and missed games because of his back through his entire career.

It's not even a ****ing question.
