Yes. He's not a clone of Smith. Smith had a stronger arm coming out and a lot more mobility. Still has more mobility. Siemian ran a 4.94.

Siemian and Green are similar in that they have good, not great, arm strength, a bit of mobility and pretty good accuracy when they have protection and can set up correctly.

Also willing to throw the ball down the field and into tight spots. That's not Smith, either.

They're also almost the exact same size.

He plays nothing like Trent Green. Not even close. IDGAF what their forty times were, Trevor is quite a bit more shifty in the pocket and can actually run when a play breaks down.

"good, not great arm strength and pretty good accuracy in a clean pocket" pretty much describes every average to below average QB in the league.

You're 0-50 in the Andy Reid era. Now you're 0-51.

Worst QB might actually be Phillip Rivers.

Everytime i watch Semian play i think to myself, "Why is everyone so down on this guy"?

I feel like he gets a lot of un deserved heat. He has some talent. He makes tough, contested throws. Last night he was absolutely on fire.

Rivers OTOH....it's been a long while since he's been in the conversation as a top QB. He's incredibly turn over prone, wilts under pressure, one of the worst 4th qtr QB's in the current game and his arm strength doesn't look quite as live as it use to.

I know Rivers has the resume, but going off week 1, he very well may have been the worst. And that's been a pattern for awhile now.

There's way too much sense in that post...

I like that Rivers never gives up and can sling it. I think plays too wound up at times and makes dumb mistakes.

Siemian ... the guy doesn't light you on fire emotionally, but I like his ability to shrug off a bad play or something negative and turn it into a positive. He never looks rattled or pissed off.

Is he a top 10 QB? Not even close... but the guy is far from terrible, makes some great throws, stays in the pocket, makes the pass and takes the shot. I like his desire. We'll see how it goes.

Comparing Alex Smith to a QB who runs a 4.94 is the dumbest thing I've heard around here in awhile, to be frank.

So could Green before the knee injury.

Sorry but a huge hallmark of Smith's game is that he is fast. Andy Reid loves fast QBs. That's a big reason he wanted him, other than the WCO familiarity.

Trevor Siemian had 57 yards rushing last year. But yeah...he's a Smith clone!

Dumb.

When was the last time you saw Smith attempt let alone complete a throw like this?

This is the QB Siemian wants to be. Drop back in the pocket and hit timing routes.

Here's another throw you don't see Smith attempt.

The only reason you think Siemian is anything like Smith is because he was running for his ****ing life last year.

Bunch of mundane, average crap that we've all seen Smith do. "herp, derp, look guys here's Semen throwing an incompletion!"

I'm not at all interested in a lengthy argument with a career troll who thought Mahomes was only worth a 2nd round pick, that Hunt wouldn't get 200 yards on the season and evaluates QB's by their 40 time.
