All Things Video Games & Game Reviews

Hey guys...
Thought we could use a thread to help one another out with purchasing new and used games. Now that the next gen consoles are out and the holiday season will soon be upon us, many new games are going to drop. We've been throwing 'reviews' in several different threads or making new threads for each game. I thought we might like to converge and discuss them as a whole. Whether you're on PS3, 360, PS4, XB one or even a wii, PC and Mac, this is a repository for what you're playing and how you rate it.

Let's try to do a 1-10 scale for each game. Take into account the following:

Storyline
Challenge
Replayability
Graphics
Online functionality
Downloadable content
AI/npc's
Price
Length of gameplay

You can use all or some of those as a guide to score the game. If there are other aspects you'd like to tell as about with your game, please do so. These are just suggentions.

Please note what system, (if necessary i.e. It being exclusive to a system) you're playing on and let us know what you think.

1. Sucks, I'd rather watch Brodie Croyle play as our starter. This game is dogshit.
2. Don't waste your time. It's obviously been programmed by a bunch of chimps with syphilis.
3. I'd rather eat tapioca pudding out of my grandmothers colostomy bag, then stick my tongue in her stoma.
4. Meh, there's really better stuff to do, (like waxing my pubes) but I was lazy.
5. This is kinda like purgatory. It's not the best place to be but it could be worse.
6. Not bad at all... It's like I just scored a BJ from my hot first cousin.
7. Entertaining as all hell, kinda like the feeling where you just drank enough not to puke and can still walk.
8. Buy this game, I'm super-cereal. It's got stuff that makes my nipples tingly.
9. HELL F'ing YEAH! I'd talk more about it but I'm gonna be locked in place for a week just playing this ****er.
10. This game is like godfather two and the empire strikes back joined forces to **** your face off with wow. I'm taking all of my PTO days and going on FMLA.

EDIT: We can also discuss upcoming/all things gaming in here as well.
Enjoy!

I bought a new blue wave PS4 controller in November early december. The controller still works fine but the d pad is loud now and makes a clicky type of noise.

anyone experience this? this is like my 4th or 5th ps4 controller now with a bit of a malfunction. it's just annoying because the ps3 ones were fine.

i take good care of my shit and i've never spilt anything on the controller or dropped it hard or anything. it pisses me off because everytime i press the d pad now, it just makes this loud clicking noise.

the other day, i put my finger around the 4 d pad slots and pressed down on them all and it made this really loud clicking noise. it stopped and i thought i fixed it but it came back and the d pad just doesn't feel as responsive. it's just so annoying because i know i'm not the only one.

Mortal Kombat is pretty solid.

Is there anything that I can use to increase the stickum of my PS4 analog sticks? I seem to notice them getting slick when I play FIFA.

They sell joystick covers at GameStop. Might be worth checking out. I was thinking about that too.

I was hearing that the playable characters coming out in the DLC (Voorhees, Predator, etc) is going to be around $30?

WTF.

That's for the entire DLC package.
They will eventually sell each DLC character (probably for like $4.99 a pop) individually.

DLC is ruining gaming IMO. Nickel and dime. Nickel and dime.

You're both absolutely right. DLC is a good thing if it enhances the game a few months or a year later. This day one DLC is a bunch of ****ing crap. Look at games like this, Evolve or Battlefield. AAA games that we're already paying 60 bucks for that are purposely developed to "nickle and dime" us to death. When there's parts on the game that have shaded slots on the menu day one... Just inexcusable.
Ubisoft loves doing shit like this as well.

The first DLC for Destiny was already on the disc. I found that very annoying. I know they were still "working on it" and updated it completely before it went live but still.

what im learning about Destiny is that they butchered the **** out of that game. I watched the angry joe review and he showed video of them promising all kinds of shit that NEVER made it into the game or it wasnt in the core game.

Game play and the world are freaking AWESOME, but its lacking in alot of area's which is a damned shame.

Yep, Joe nailed it on his review. Don't get me wrong. I love the game now that I do raids and have made a bunch of new online friends but the way Activision made bungie tear the game apart is just infuriating. I wonder if Bungie is regretting leaving Microsoft now.

Well with the start of the baseball season it's got me in the mood so I went out and got MLB:The Show'15 and I must say....game's pretty ****in' awesome. Haven't played a good baseball video game since EA's MVP Baseball 2005. I really wish they'd bring back that franchise those games were ****ing awesome. But this one's really good too.

I also wish they would come out w/ a new next gen Ace Combat game. Always loved jet-fighter/dog fighting games, AC was by far the best one out there.
