Your Top 5

Setting aside specific players, BPA philosophy, etc. what are the 5 positions that would most like to see addressed by the Chiefs in this draft?

I used to love our ownership, and hate the Jerry Jones and the Daniel Snyders. The Alex Smith trade was the final straw, and is too much to be a coincidence.
Well at least Snyder, Jones etc. try to win championships, give me one of those guys.

Next year they will be drafting too late to get a QB, book it, that will be the excuse.

Fortunately, we'll have plenty of ammunition to move up to get that QB next year...

The formula for the last 30 years is cast in stone. Trade for whatever average reject QB it takes to be competitive, get to 10 and 6 and sell tickets.

That was certainly what Carl Peterson always said. He was two GM's ago, though. I think some people on here and on the radio have confused GM's with the actual team itself.

Yes he did, and he always kept the team at respectable, and competitive, so he didn't have to worry about obviously passing on a good QB in the draft except for Rodgers, but everyone was happy with DJ.

And what have the two GMs since Carl done differently to make you think it is not ownership? They all three have answering to ownership in common.

1) ***** traded for Cassel with his first big move and the 34th pick! Stanzi in the 5th was *****s QB pick in the draft.

2) Reid/Dorsey trade for Alex Smith with the 34th pick as their first move!

These dots are so close that they are almost touching, and it is very hard not to connect them.

Yay for Manziel!
Bridgewater?
Murray!

Yeah, not really excited for next years crop.

I suppose I can watch Bridgewater, but he has A LOT to prove before he's a better prospect than Geno Smith.

In both cases the new GM's came in with crap at QB. I guess you wanted them to draft and start a rookie qb instead of finding the best QB in free agency. I think most GM's would go for the pro instead of the college kid.

I hear ya, but that wasn't really the point. Guess I should have been clearer.

When was the last time Dallas was picking in the top 5? If there was a potential franchise QB available at their pick he wouldn't hesitate if they needed one.

I noticed you didn't mention Daniel Snyder and what they did in the last draft to get RGIII.

My point was that I always have admired how the Hunt's stayed in the background and let their GMs run the team, vs. how Jones and Snyder got involved.

I thought your point was that ownership was preventing the Chiefs from drafting a quarterback.
