Nick Foles was who Andy wanted. He couldn't even get permission.

Alex is the best alternative until they see a guy they like in the draft.

In the past, when he's gotten the most out of a qb and it's not good enough, he's moved on.

Hopefullu, if that's the case here, they'll move on

Probably even better than Montana since Joe couldn't make the plays with his feet that Alex can!

I'm not sure about the numbers but Reid seems to have ran it more herr than he did in Philly.

I bet that changes next year. Or maybe it's because he's trying to hide his qb.

Not what I thought it would be, but I still think he wants it more pass oriented.

Or maybe it's just me

That article was about how he was going to be more involved, how he idolized the Steelers franchise, how he wanted a long tenured coach like Cowher, how he wanted to draft and develop a quarterback, and how he wanted to take more of a direct personal role in order to help restore stability and consistency. In six years we've gone through two front offices, three head coaches (the latest about to turn 57 so a decade in town's pretty unlikely) and drafted and developed zero quarterbacks.

What he said he wanted to do six years ago is great and all, but we need to judge him on his actions. So far not so good.

I think it had a lot more to do with defenses attacking with 8 guys because they had no fear whatsoever of Alex Smith burning them deep. Charles didn't run as much toward the end of the season because defenses were stopping him. Jamaal has played behind some shitty QB play, but there's only so much he can do that.

This team has improved or stayed the same in every area except OL. By a lot. Better TE, DE, RB, and CB depth. Full rotation of safeties. Actual depth at most positions. The last missing piece is a QB who can do something with it. The front office has done mostly a good job at the pieces outside of QB, save for a few obvious big mistakes (e.g. Fisher)

The team's inability to challenge downfield hurts the running game as much as it hurts the short passing game (which is basically just another type of running game, extended handoffs...).

They inherited Eric Berry, Jamal Charles, Derrick Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, Tamba Hali, Brandon Albert, Poe, Bailey and Houston. They best thing they've done is addition by subtraction with Cassel and Tyson Jackson, both guys Pioli just couldn't admit he ****ed up on.

So have spent how many more millions a year than Pioli to fill in a few complimentary pieces, 30-40?
