I'm sure Sauto can definitely tell us a story or two but when I was a tech at Saturn in Wichita, we'd get cars in all the time that needed complete overhauls due to customer stupidity.
I had a Pontiac Grand Prix come in once with 40k on it. Never had an oil change and it looked a lot like that. 3.8 L with a supercharger.... Owned by a 20 year old girl of course. I actually brought her in to look at her engine and told her that after I rebuild the ****er, she needs to change the oil every 3k. She was just oblivious. 3 grand later I believe she got the point. |

I have a buddy that bought a Chevy S-10 pickup in the 90s and the engine crapped out before 10K miles. They dropped a new engine but he was pissed. He never changed the oil, only topped it off when needed. It made it to 100k when he decided to trade it in. God knows what the next owner experienced.
