Music Went to Guns N Roses Friday night verdict incredible show

I went to Vegas to see the Friday show and was not disapointed. First GNR is one of my favorite bands and I had tickets to see them in '92 but my mom wouldn't drop her 16 year old son at arrowhead . She told me you can see them next time. Hmm they broke up. Then my best friend got me tickets to see the new GNR on my Birthday but two days before AXL cancelled. I swore that day no matter what the cost etc if they reunite I'm gonna do what I can to go.

Flash forward to Friday two hrs before the concert it is announced AXL has a broken foot . I'm scared he's cancelling again but then says show must go on. They were GNR late to the stage at 12 played for almost three hours. So I've heard the rumors AXL can't bring it anymore blah blah so I came in with low expectations. So they start and axel is on this throne that he borrowed from Dave Grohl. So no major running around like usual. Now three songs in it starts to dawn on me he still has it. He's hitting every note and is in sync with the band, making me think the announcement of them reuniting wasn't the first time they got together they've been practicing long before that, and also hitting the AXL rose screams just right. I turn to the guy behind me and say AXL still has it. The guy then says this could be an epic concert and it was they ripped through appetite and lose your illusion some Chinese democracy, lies, and even a song from Spaghetti incident.

Even though he had to use crutches AXL moved quickly off stage. What made my night though was when slash came out and started playing my favorite song of all time Wish you were here. I know he wasn't playing it just for me but it kinda felt like it was. I've lost two dear friends this year and at both of their receptions I played it on the juke box. It's lame but I felt Slash was saying sorry bout u never getting to see us b4 this is for you. So that made this special.

Sorry bout the long winded ness of this post but wanted to tell u guys it was worth the price of admission and go see them if you get a chance. GNR tore Las Vegas down and they are coming soon to a city near you.

Awesome I was wondering about if they can still perform.

As a bucket list event I will most certainly be buying a ticket.

Well worth it AXL still has it it was simply incredible although after the concert I lost in Craps 45 dollars in ten minutes lol

Read a review of this show yesterday that included two full songs, and they definitely sounded good

Said Axl seemed to be in a great mood, joking around with the crowd a lot

The reviewer made particular note of how Axl and Slash both seemed to really drive one another, an unspoken chemistry on full display... think I might just change my tune on seeing them now

Just hope they add St Louis to the tour, REALLY dont wanna make the trip to Chicago

They had their first show together about a week ago at The Troubadour here in L.A. Same place they made they're on stage debut thirty years ago. That was when Axl broke his foot. Apparently only 250 people were allowed in, and everybody had to put their cell phones in magnetic bags before the show...Anyways that's awesome, I'm jealous. I looked at going to the Vegas show as well but unable to take time off work.
