So I'm hopping a freighter to China...

Well, actually Vietnam. But I'll make a stop in China.

It just seemed like the thing to do. I'm in Oakland now waiting as they load cargo. I'm the only passenger on a 1,000 foot ship for the next 19 days.

Here's my ship: http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/...:CMA_CGM_RHONE. I got whisked aboard before I could take an exterior photo.

Since I'm the only passenger, I get the owner's cabin on the top deck. Here are a few pictures of my cabin area. I also have the use of a lounge on another floor, and I can share the crew's gym.

So if anybody needs me, I won't be around for the next few weeks as I sail my private 1,000 foot yacht across the Pacific.

Looks like an amazing experience. I would definitely try it. I’m working right next door to Hong Kong and I can tell you it’s an amazing city. Probably one of my favorites. It’s one of if not the most expensive cities in the world so you gotta be careful. Definitely do the train ride up to Victoria’s peak for amazing views of the city. Temple street night market if you want to sample various foods from all over asia. The Hong Kong history museum is really interesting. Hennessy street in the Wan Chai district is a great place to drink beer and people watch.

We're still loading Cloverfield monsters and still have no AC. However, I'm not seeing any vents so I think I've figured out why there's no AC running.

I got my porthole open, though, which helps a lot. It's a bit noisy because there are refrigerated containers below my window, but it's white noise.

I think we unhitch this afternoon. Most of the crew is having fun ashore so I don't have much information.

Rest assured several CP members will be following the Marine Traffic map and will know the moment your ship sinks. We will also notify DaFace that it is time to launch his coup.

I'm tempted. But it took several steps to get to the ship, including getting buzzed through a gate that took a few tries and getting a ride to the ship since I don't think you can walk around the containers. Given that they're working with a skeleton crew, I figure I'll be low maintenance.
