Yep.

DT was an outstanding passrusher, but Charles is good at every single aspect of his position.

Had to go with Charles here. DT was part of my childhood, but I was still young enough to not know that I was watching one of the Chiefs all-time greats. Priest was an outstanding Chief, but he's second class when compared to what Charles brings.

I just hope Jamaal can keep up his high level of play for a few more years and our coach can utilize him properly. He should be in Canton one day.

Took DT over JC & Priest. While DT's personal life was a mess you cannot deny his impact on the Chiefs then and now.

DT came in while KC's only other pro sports franchise, the Royals, was on a downward slope. The long time "core" players, White, Wilson, and Brett, were on the backside of their careers. As they went so went the Royals.

Before DT, and Marty & Carl, you could buy whole rows and sections of tickets to Sunday Chiefs' games. 15,000 + was a great attendance number for a late season game. Once DT arrived he helped re-energize the KC fan base and gave KC something had not seen in years, a young & exciting star that was nationally recognized for his greatness.

Priest was a class act and the best at what he did during his time with KC. It's a shame that injury stopped him and took him out of the game for so long. JC is simply awesome and I am so happy as a Chiefs' fan to have him on our team. But from an overall and historical standpoint DT had and still has a larger impact and that is why I choose him over Priest & JC.

Disagree.

JC is a monster in space, but he is nowhere NEAR the gut-buster that Payton was, or Allen for that matter.

I can't cast a vote here. It's a 3 way tie for me.

Walter is my all-time favorite player but I see more similarities between JC and Payton than any other RB ever..

Toughness: Neither one goes down with the first hit.

Elusiveness: 34 has the edge here but 25 is close

Pass Blocking: Both are devastating pass protection blockers

Hands: Both great in the screen game and passing routes... Nightmare for LBs

Leadership: It was Walters team, very vocal. I think 25 leads by example. leads the offense.

Payton was the best at the goal line but Charles has the speed.

Hopefully JC will have the longevity that 34 had with the Bears

I also see a lot of similarity between Walter and Jamaal. They're both guys who do everything really well. The weird thing is that the only notable difference I see is that Jamaal is a lot faster.

Since this is about favorites, I can't separate my childhood awe of DT from my adult assessment of him. I'm pretty prone to childhood nostalgia as a person, so there's that too. DT was the first NFL player to have all of my heart.

At least one of Bobby Bell, Willie Lanier and Will Shields deserves to be on this list. And they're not.

CP Fail.

Yep. For me "most beloved" is about an emotional connection more than a balanced assessment of which player was better or even nicer.

DT's career corresponded with the rise of Arrowhead as we know it. For me that was the beginning of my teenage years and it's when I became a hardcore fan. The nostalgia wins my vote for DT.
