I think Houston's is $18 - no drink incld'd. But it's damned good IMO.

There's a bar here in Louisville that charges $15 for a burger. Just the burger, no fries. I scoffed at first when a coworker told me about it shortly after I moved here, but now I've had it three times. So good. I do a pretty decent job in the kitchen or on the grill, but I can't come close to how good that burger is.

I had a Mushroom Swiss burger from Summit Grill and Bar in Waldo. I believe it was 12.95, and it was amazing

I assume that's swiss Bowser? It's good they make the slice thick - that REALLY helps a swiss burger's cause! There was a deli back in the day in Blue Springs called Country Deli next door to Taco Via on 7 - the owners were local - they'd warm their sandwiches on a kaiser roll w/ poppy-seed - and only had mustard, lettuce, tomato and onion - and the melted swiss would be really thick on their turkey sands, it was so amazing, not sure how they didn't make it.

$20 would be the absolute max, and it would have to be a real piece of craftsmanship

I'll pay $20 for a solid buffalo burger. That shit's delicious.
I think the most I have gone on a regular burger is about $15. |
