And last week we won a game that everyone said we usually end up losing and that had a playoff feel to it.

I understand the PTSD in losing like we did last night given our history. But we still control our own destiny and are not any different of a team than I thought we were 24hrs ago before the game.

No, last week we beat a one dimensional team with a rookie QB. This week way more was on the line, like there is in a playoff game, and we blew a lead the way we normally do in the playoffs.

True, we do still control our own destiny - but IMO we are a much different team than we were 24hours ago - because now, everyone that thought this team was different 24hours ago, from other Chiefs teams, knows that this Chiefs team can still blow big leads at home, even with Mahomes - and the players know it also.

I'm not gonna argue with you. You can have your opinion and believe that last night's events changes nothing... I know what I saw and have my opinion as well. If people show me who they are, I believe them. And the Chiefs showed me something last night.

I'm just glad we have Mahomes...

Just a good division race between two top quarterbacks.

We won the first matchup, now there is more intrigue because we choked. Sometimes that happens, even with Superbowl teams. You just have to enjoy this game and Mahomes makes me smile alot more (if Alex was our quarterback I’d be tuning out)

KC and LAC seem to be top dogs in the AFC. It’s a shame the Patriots will be gifted a bye because of their dogsh*t division. Tannehill is Brady’s best competition

We all thought Mahomes fixed all that BS. He can't help from the sidelines. It was a playoff preview. We all know where this is headed. That's the brutal part of it.

I flirted with posting last week about getting used to finishes like that against the Raiders, because that's the logical extension of relying on one superstar to bail out a failing squad. But I didn't want to irritate old wounds regarding 'QB is all that matters' -vs- 'its a team game.'

But the evidence is starting to pile up. Forfeiting double-digit leads, 4th and 9 miracles saving our bacon, losing games where we put up 50+, allowing mid-20s to 30s to the dregs of the league. Our defense stops no one, we could revive Norman Peterman's career if called on to do so. Everything rests on Mahomes' prodigious shoulders.

It's made for a compelling regular season. But then, time was the regular season was 'meaningless' if you couldn't deliver playoff domination.

This. I actually fell asleep with 5 minutes left thinking it was over. I think my body put me in a coma like a burn victim in efforts to shield me against the pain. I woke up around midnight and saw the score and was like what happened??? We will lose in the playoffs whether we are first or fifth seed, on the road or at home. You can’t win with a defense this bad. If you don’t believe this then you weren’t around during the Vermiel/Green days. Marcus Peters gone to the Rams, Kareem Hunt, out of the league. Bob Sutton: still on our sidelines presiding over worst defense in the league. No lead is safe. I’m going to start calling this the “Jaws” defense. Just when you think a lead is safe cue the ominous music.

I live Mahomes and I think he is going to bring glory and a Lombardi trophy to the Kingdom, but I feel as long as Sutton is our DC, and Scandrick, Nelson, Fuller, Parker, and Sorenson make up our secondary, this team will not win any playoff game that really matters.

Also Fat Andy isn’t helping anyone win meaningful playoff games either.

I voted yes but I take it back. This walking embarrassment of a franchise has ****ed it up time and time again. They deserve no benefit of the doubt or vote of confidence until they prove it with some solid postseason wins. Until they do it, they can all go **** themselves.

If they do, I say it would be on the road! Arrowhead is NO home field advantage for our team, IMO. Its not that the crowd isnt loud enough, but perhaps Andy and Bob get too complacent, and expect the home field to be an advantage? Other than the crowd noise affecting our Oline sometimes, I think we perform better, as a Team, on the road.(unfortunately)

Tough loss but we should be fine. Our offense is a different beast when Watkins plays and he will be back. We win next two games still get #1 seed

Chiefs beat Chargers 9-games in a row. Chargers were due for a win.
