Durant is the clear MVP in this series. Incredible series.

But Klay Thompson was close to being the most influential in the series. His defense on Kyrie in games 1, 2, and 5 were on another level.

I've been most vocal about losing Blatt. Not because Blatt is a great coach. Hell, there are lots of coaches in the league who would gladly coach Lebron and would install even an ounce of discipline to this team. The difference between this year and the last 2 years by a mile was hustle and discipline. That's ultimately lost the series. The Warriors fought on every possession. The Cavs drifted.
It appeared to be part of the deal to get him back to Cleveland. He gets to play GM lite. Who knows, if it wasnt for Durant going to the Warriors putting them over the top Lebron might have just had back to back titles/MVPs as player/GM

The NBA successfully went from 3 team competition in 2016 to only 1 in 2017.

Hope another team besides these 2 is in the finals next season bc this was super boring.

Even without Durant, I never liked this year's team. He could've pulled it off, but only in the same way he did in Cleveland (pre-Miami) and 2 years ago with Kyrie/Love on the bench. By carrying an extraordinary weight on his shoulders.

It's a shame. His legacy would be totally different if he didn't meddle all those years in Cleveland prior, and all the years in Cleveland since.

Durant played one hell of a series hitting tons of difficult shots, especially when it mattered most. I don't care what defense you're playing against. He played one hell of a series.

So did Lebron. I'm a Cavs fan but I'm not a sore loser. The Warriors won because they were better and Durant played a great series. Period.

I dont think he can help himself. He knows hes the best, he knows the value he brings to the table as a player. Whatever team he plays for is going to have to accept that part of it too. Hes going to have a say in everything (personnel, coaching wise) and youd better oblige or he will leave.

Probably the only reason why the Cavs made those changes was because of Durant going to GS. Otherwise they probably would have stood pat for the most part.

I wouldn't even consider the Warriors a super team. All there players except Durant were homegrown and for Cavs Love is the only one who isn't homegrown

The Cavs made those changes middle of last year. Lue said he wanted the team to sprint. He traded for Channing Frye last year. He traded for Kyle Korver this year. I don't understand the strategy whatsoever. He wanted a team that could outgun Golden State. The team was a much better match for Golden State when they wanted to slow them down and frustrate the hell out of them. And all for nothing. Korver and Frye were horrendous this series.

And it doesn't explain the laziness in transition. That's just poor coaching. I don't know how many points were scored drifting in transition, how many GS offensive boards were on lazy box outs, and how many Warriors scored because the Cavs played lazy in the paint. These aren't things we saw when signature role players were guys like Delly. Where was that?

JR Smith, Shumpert, Richard Jefferson, Deron Williams, Korver, Frye aren't homegrown. There are only 3 Cavs (Lebron, Kyrie, and Tristan) who are homegrown unless you count the scrubs.
