Who Has The Bigger 2015 Season...Maclin or Kelce?
Alex Smith tends to spread the ball around but Jeremy Maclin is an awesome WR coming off a career season who seems to be developing a good report with Smith. Maclin is coming off his best NFL season of over 1300 yards & 10 TD's, just turned 27 last month, is very familiar with Andy Reid's offense and will be the featured WR in this offense.

Travis Kelce is coming off his breakout NFL season where he led all WR's/TE's in both yards and TD's racking up over 800 yards despite starting slow coming off a severe knee injury with a long recovery in his rookie year. Kelce is now 100% healthy going into the 2015 season and is going as high as the 2nd TE off the board in early fantasy drafts ahead of even Jimmy Graham (and never lower than 4th). Can he live up to the lofty expectations? If so who has the bigger season Kelce or Maclin?

Jimmy Graham will feast on the goal line in that offense because of the play action. He'll be your leader in TD's for TE's.

A little adversity is expected, but to basically have your whole offense fall apart at the seams for 3/4 of the year is more than just adversity...and in case you missed it, we still had an average scoring offense and won 9 games (including some very tough matchups)

When I first got here, I agreed with you a lot. The team sucked and Cassel was like a dead weight keeping the team from doing anything. It was easy to agree with pessimist point of views...but this team isn't even close to that. This team knows how to win and is about to make a big jump...I'm sorry you can't see it.

The argument that Maclin never had a 1,000 yard season under Reid is useless in this case.

He was never the #1 WR in those years. That was DeSean Jackson, who topped 1,000 yards twice in those years under Reid, went over 900 twice, and had around 800 in 11 games in 2012.

Maclin SHOULD push 1,000 no problem. Kelce though should too, so I think it is up to injuries.

Be careful here because if our O-line and other WRs don't step up, along with Mac always getting the best CB on him at all times I can almost assure you AS will continue the "Lenny the Cool" dump down game to both Charles and Kelce more often than not. Which is why I am choosing Kelce at this point. Yes Reid/Dorsey have made moves to help our O-line and WR corp but at this point we just don't know because it's still all on paper and paper doesn't play the game, players do.

Alex Smith has never had a receiver whose abilities so perfectly complement his, and unless I'm mistaken, this will be the first time in his career that Alex Smith will be in the same offense with the same OC for three consecutive years.

If the O-Line steps up and gives him time, I can see Alex Smith having a career year.

I think it's possible that both Maclin and Kelce approach 1000 yard seasons, and Smith hits the numbers that Boss thinks he's capable of hitting.
