Groin Strain for Willingham.

I'm sadder than the teddy bear getting face-raped in my avatar.

I know Salvy is the shit and provides way more on the pitching/defensive side than with the bat, but at what point does he get a day or two off? Kratz has surprising power and seems like a formidable backup. It's not like we have Jason Kendall filling in.

Shields got moved up to Saturday, which would put him on track to start our first playoff game.

I'll be surprised if he sits more than 1-2 games the rest of the year.

Yeah, I'd put the over/under at 1.5 days off, and bet the under.

In light of the recent trend, you're likely right. Do you agree, though?

That's comforting. Last we had heard from Ned, Guthrie would start the Wild Card game.

Ned was trolling the media on a day when he was irritated.

I'm shocked at how many people thought he was serious.

If we have to play a 163rd game on 9/29, I don't think Shields will be able to go for that. Probably our Friday starter, which is now.... (looks it up)... nope, not him.

Probably Duffy, then.
