I hate to say it but if Reid knows about Albert not being there, it's very possible it's because they intend to trade him and don't want him around the rest of the team.

It's also possible that Reid and Albert have an understanding and Albert will be there in the next couple days.

Yes he would. Him signing his tender was basically daring them not to sign him long term. Sign me, or pay me 10mil.

It's not an indicator of whether he'll be traded or anything else. It was the next move to push along negotiations.

Yup. Either the Chiefs are actively trying to trade him, or they're playing the field while trying to force Albert toward market value by testing the market.
