Power outage pray for my fish

This is kinda nerve wracking been out of power about two hours do to storm. I've been using empty water bottle and giving them air about every ten minutes or so but I don't know how long am going to be without power.

Right on. My dad had a couple freshwater tanks when I was a kid but I was too young to know, or care, much about it. I just got into saltwater about two years ago. I have a 32 Biocube and a qt tank at the moment. I broke down my 55 to make room for my new build. I'm in the process of setting up a 180 (tank is due within the next couple weeks) but I have been thinking about trying my hands at fresh in a couple years. I'll wait until I'm completely stocked in the 180 before I start any new projects.

I'll have to look those fish up. If you'd said clownfish, fairy wrasse, tangs, or anthias I'd have a better idea of what you're talking about

I would say that one of Clay's MILFs was sucking all the O2 from the water but I doubt they literally suck.

Badass looking and smart as ****. I got a toy divers cage and the ghost shrimp likes to think it's safe in it but the God damn dinosaur fish busted through the cage door from the top and ate the ghost shrimp it was like watching a movie. I couldn't believe what it did.


Dragon fish are my favorite though but sadly mine died a while back and haven't got another one but he lived a good 3 years for me I thought that was pretty good and he grew pretty good size. I want to get another one but I'm needing to get a bigger tank if i do. I only have a 29 gallon but want upsize. I know Petco i think have $1 gallon sales like every other month so i'll probably do that. Fish are so much fun and they don't shed nor do they walk under feet trying to kill you like cats do.

That's like fairy wrasses dude. Some of them are downright stunning. I had an exquisite, lunate, pintail, pink margin, rhomboid and flame fairy wrasses. Very personable, inquisitive, and when they "display" to each other it's incredible. Those idiots would swarm the siphon during waterchanges thinking it was the turkey baster. Sadly, I lost every one of them due to marine velvet. I didn't qt a few snails I bought and it wiped most my tank before I knew what hit me. I'm down to just 3 clowns from the two tanks. I'd quarantined every fish but didn't know you had to with inverts.. Lesson learned.

Clownfish are ****ing assholes though. I'm always mindful of where they're at when I'm doing maintenance or adding a coral. Those little bastards are territorial and will draw blood if given a chance. That said, much like my goby fish and pistol shrimp pairs, a clownfish pair with an anemone is a must have for any reef tank.

I believe Petco stopped offering $1 per gallon on anything above their 30g. 40 breeders, 55s, and, if you're lucky enough to have a store that offers the 75 or 125, is now half off. That's better than nothing though.

Yeah man.. I love having fish. They're definitely relaxing to watch and a lot of them are very personable. Hell, my pit/American bulldog mix sometimes parks next to me and will watch them. It's really cute. My other dog doesn't pay attention to them, which is good. She has a pretty high prey drive (she's a presa canario) and I was concerned about how she'd react to all the movement.

Ever have puffer fish? Talk about assholes! I want to get them again but they will have a tank for themselves and what ever i'll get them to eat. They will eat all other fish in the tank.

I'd thought about it but I like the smaller schoaling fish like anthias and chromis. I'd also read that some of them nip at coral too, which is definitely unacceptable. My niece and her fiance have a predator tank with a snowflake eel, a lionfish, and a marine beta. They've talked about getting a puffer but I'm not sure how serious they are about it. They're definitely cool looking fish

maybe you should buy a batter powered bubbler like fishermen use for minnows.
They also have some products of tablets-balls that fizz and put O2 into water if you're worried about it.

in all honesty all you need to do is agitate the surface of the water


u could use a cordless drill with a blender attachment and agitate the water for a minute or so once in a while and probably keep them alive a long time


maybe even one of those hand held hand crank blenders
