There's a big difference between saying "There won't be a big dropoff between Ford and Houston" and saying "I have a feeling that there won't be as big a dropoff between Ford & Houston as Chiefsplanet members believe".

Some people were acting as the Chiefs would put 10 guys on the field instead of 11.

That whole thing started with a disagreement between me and Dane about the impact of the loss of Houston, so everything you're saying is wrong.

I've never once said that Berry is overrated or that Houston isn't great.

Who knows, maybe the change of scenery will work out. I remember when KC and the 49ers made the AJ Jenkins for Jon Baldwin swap. Granted, it didn't work out for either team, but if the guy isn't helping your team, why not give him an opportunity elsewhere and get something for him. If it works out, Belicheck looks like a genius. If it doesn't, it was just a late pick anyway and more of them fail than succeed.

There's a difference between looking at the situation at hand and coming to the conclusion that Berry isn't this "super leader" that he's made out to be, and saying he's overrated on the field.

Just like there's a difference in saying that he's a great safety and one of the best in the league, but that he's asking for too much $ and we should let him walk.

I have the ability to look at this situation objectively.

But since you went there, everybody on CP was calling Fisher a pussy and a bust a year ago, and I said those same things about him. Look at where we are now.

There's a difference between being cautiously optimistic and an impatient reeruned fan with no sense of player development.

If Fisher gets your panties in a twist still, just pretend they drafted Kelce in the first and Fisher in the third and get over it. It was just terrible luck to have the overall #1 pick in an absolute shit draft and they actually did as well as can be expected, all things considered. It's not like they passed over Andrew Luck to take a tackle out of the MAC.

Exactly. Probably 5 players in that entire 1st round that are any good. Just so happens that Fisher is actually turning out to be rather decent.

Honestly, Is it not possible that if Mingo had been drafted to a Dorsey / reid environment things would have turned out differently for him.

You guys confuse optimism with that shit. They're not the same. Keep pretending there isn't a difference though.

Edit: just realized that was in response to my Berry comment, not Ford.

If that isn't an objective take on the Berry situation, I don't know what is. Most people are on one extreme, or the other. I'm clearly not.
