Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Honestly, the tone around here is ****ing juvenile lately... seems like nobody can have an dissenting opinion without a bunch of people dog-piling them with idiotic name calling.

While i agree that Alex isn't the best QB in the world, it's better then nothing. Your team can now take a young QB and let the guy learn behind a guy, instead of throwing him to the wolves. I mean sure, it worked for Seattle, with Wilson, and Washington with RG3, and Indy with Luck. But face it, young guys don't always pan out that way, or that fast. I think that's the point Robert T is trying to make.

Go watch NFL Network. Tell me if you notice a 48 year old bald douchebag wearing hipster glasses. That was the guy we were told to be patient for last time. The one who traded a fewer draft picks for a younger QB with a similar track record and drafting a five technique who couldn't rush the passer or make All Conference at #3 overall.

What is the most important element in the modern NFL?

What NFL team has gone longest without attempting the answer to question #1?

Answer those three questions and you'll realize why we're pissed.
The answers to those questions were why 49er fans were pissed as well. But my point is that he will only get you so far. You are missing more than one piece to being a super bowl team. So to blow up like you guys are cause you don't think you are going to the super bowl now is pretty silly. But he will make you competitive at least. And I guarantee you there will be no TD drought next year like you had this year.

If I was a 49er fan, I'd be here making fun of how my team just raped the chiefs in a stupid trade, but instead we have these morons here trying to shove sunshine up our ass like we are getting the next big thing.

If you think Alex Smith , losing out proven LT , giving up a 34th overall pick, and drafting a lineman at #1 is going to have more upside than reaching a little on a QB, retaining Albert, and keeping the 34th pick for a solid nfl player....

you don't know what you are talking about

If you think going 8-8 , safely, but with limited up-side is 'better'than rolling the dice and maybe going 4-12 another season BUT AT LEAST WE TRIED....

you dont know what youre talking about

You won the last SB in January 1995.

You were still winning playoff games at the turn of the century.

You had about seven shitty years. By my ****ing crazy gorilla math, that's a quarter of your life.

Meanwhile, if a Chiefs fan were fortunate enough to say that I've spent half my life rooting for a losing team they would have served in the ****ing Korean War, because they'd be in their goddamned 80s.
