What In The Hell Do I Do With This Old Beast Of A TV?

I have an old rear projection HD Mitsubishi 65" TV that I need to ditch. It's been a great TV but I upgraded to a new 65" today that wasn't around when dinosaurs were roaming the earth. This nasty behemoth weighs in at around 400 pounds.

Sounds good if you're buying the gas! The V-10 in the Super Duty is one of a truck for pulling a trailer over mountains but the gas mileage, yeah.

Welp, if you can get it as far as Kansas, you can dump it anywhere. On the way back through Denver, blow it the **** up.

Hmmm, a combination of ideas already here. How bout a leaf pile in Denver ? Right after one of their games. That would be a must post video on the planet.

No option for dump.

The last time I dropped a load of old building material off at the County Dump, there was a large pile of electronic waste and most of it was not computers but old TVs. These were all great modern TVs, mostly la few years old.

The dump will take your old TV but I don't know how close you are to one.

How old is the tv?

Friends uncle picks up old computers and electronics. He smelts the metals out. And recycles the rest.

If I had a farm I would set up a similar setup. Makes a killing.

Donate it to a charity of your choice.

1. You will get a tax write off
2. They will come get it
3. You will feel good about yourself

10-12 years old? When I bought it, it was the Cadillac of TV's but at this point it's a ship anchor.

Of course they'd need to give Bwana a "tax deduction" every now and again...
