Bullshit. You mean like last year's 13 point explosion against pitt? Stack the line, play zone. Check mate.

It really does piss me off that there's not very many passing plays under center. They telegraph running plays because practically all of the Chiefs passing plays are in the shotgun

This is true. We threw on 75% of our plays out of the shotgun, and it would have been over 80% but Smith scrambled on 4 of them. We ran on 60% of the plays from under center.

But one way out of bullshit plays is a guy who knows how to create. First of all, actually throwing to your receivers instead of the checkdown. Secondly, getting creative by throwing on the run. McNabb was a big time freelancer. Anyone who thinks Andy's style doesn't mesh with mahomes needs to look at what made McNabb and Favre successful. They will be very similar qbs. |

Knowing the offense means jack when a cover 2 mystifies yo ass. Bench the robot. **** the chiefs, they are more concerned about not having a QB controversy than winning.

I think the argument would be if we're not going anywhere this year with Smith, we'd rather get that learning curve out of the way this year vs next year. But overall I'm not opposed to waiting until next year even if I think Alex takes us nowhere. Gives mahomes a better chance to be immediately successful and boosts Alex smith's trade value, which I think will be pretty high.

I would have traded him before the season, brought in a veteran backup, done.

I think the time is Perfect for Mahomes, Chiefs should win the division too so he'll likely get to play a first Play-off game.

I cant believe there are numb nuts who are dumb enough to try to make the case against Mahomes after watching Smith play the last 4 weeks and in years past.
You seriously have to be a special kind of stupid at this point to try to claim we hav ea better shot of winning anything with Smith. We may not win anything with Mahomes but at least he would see the field and get prepared for next year. And I am convinced we woudl win as much or more with Mahomes at this point. We aren't winning anything with Smith so this is a waste of time moving forward with him playing QB. To think otherwise is just ignorant pig headed dumbassery. Its that simple. If I can see this, and I have given Smith every benefit for MOST of his time in KC, I dont see how anyone cant see this. |
