So I click over on imgur, click on the first image, and get a warning that the site has been reported as malicious a d sites this webpage -

ahxuluthscsa.org

Anybody know anything about that, or ever seen that before?

virustotal is a scanning tool/database. The link I posted was to the results of 67 virus "checks" against the website you provided. Including tool scans, black list checks, etc. 3 of 67 checks returned a positive (confirmed) result. Not something I'd normally worry about due to the common occurrence of false positives.

However, as eDave points out, a brand new site is always a red flag.

Also, I'm not familiar with imgur, and didn't realize you could create links other than to larger/original image files still hosted by imgur.

EDIT:
Oh, and eDave's post also shows the registrant's email as being Russian. Another red flag.

Cool. Thanks for the info.

So to bottom line it - I should probably avoid imgur for awhile? Probably for the best if so, that place is almost as bad of a time dump as this place is, lol.

Not to confuse you, but it likely had nothing to do with imgur. It was probably either a link there, or an infected ad or something. I wouldn't be too concerned.

If you are, just download free Malwarebytes Anti-malware and run a scan if you're at all worried: http://buy.malwarebytes.com/get-trial/

I actually do have Malwarebytes and ran it before I went to bed last night. It came up with a shitload of tracking cookies, but no Trojans or such. I have Hitman as well. The two seem to work well together.

Tracking cookies aren't necessarily malware. I'd say if those 2 apps are happy, I wouldn't worry about it.
