Though Amazon has been rolling out their own shows. The Harry Bosch series pilot was good.

For me, it paid for itself within two months and I do less than 5 items per month.

I only use the video streams when there's something I want to watch that's not on Netflix (rare), but I love it for the shopping. It completely changes the way you buy stuff online when there's 1) no shipping cost and 2) it'll be there in two days. Just be warned, I graphed my Amazon orders by year a while back:
Blue = before Prime Red = after Prime |

I have it and it's worth it. The 2 day shipping deal can be a bit subjective though.

Depends on how often and what you order. Had a 300+ lb sheet metal brake delivered to me in 2 days. Paid for the membership in one trip.

For what we watch, especially the kids, there's more content on Amazon. |

It has a small ding in the door and they took $50 off. There's just no way to adequately state how much Amazon ****ing rules. |

Last thing before I do this (or not), besides not knowing how I'm going to game the system by using my son's edu account, is there a Droid and iPhone app that allows you to watch Amazon movies like Netfix has?
Perhaps silly, but my son traveled with the robotics team a LOT through this year, and he found it VERY awesome on road trips. Any such animal/method for Amazon shows? |
