Alex Smith Appreciation Thread

The wide receivers are garbage, the line sucks and yet he still somehow manages to march this pile of crap up and down the field.

AND TO ANYONE WHO THINKS HE IS A PROBLEM - YOU'RE AND IDIOT!

He doesnt have weapons, we all know that. I come on here because I am the biggest Smith fan. Been a Niner fan my whole life and have followed Smith since his days in High School down in SD. Ive seen almost every game hes played including High School. He should have tied that game up Yesterday. End of story. Hes better than that, he is grinding it out, but certainly not playing his best football. Even if your a Smith supporter, you can acknowledge he is struggling. Whether its due to lack of talent, injuries whatever. He needs to find ways to win. That is how he got his big contract. He found ways to win last year without having a great team around him.

KC is a bit unlucky with the injuries, it happens to one team every year and it seems this is yours. Alex, needs to control the ball. Do what he knows how to do and not turn it over. Right now you need a game manager more than ever. You just dont have the talent to strike quick and the injuries are mounting. I hope the fans an Alex get a win next week.

At least you are open about your love for mediocrity. Can't say the same about 20 others around here.

I think he is far from medicore, what I do think is Mediocre is your front office, your WRs, especially Bowe. Your TE, who has the all encompassing "Potentiall" but has never done anything. Your Offensive line, below mediocre. Your Corners, one who was plucked off our practice squad. Your LB are now backups, your D-line is just above Mediocre. Your Rb is unjured. And last but not least you seem to be a hugely MEDIOCRE fan. But hey...****YOU! Enjoy your season

Mediocre gets benched multiple times throughout his carrier, receives dick for offers in FA, and gets traded off a team built for annual SB runs.

The name is on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't think of it right now. Do you know?

He looks about the same to me. Will be 27yo when week 10 rolls around.

3rd year with the same staff and mostly same guys around him.
Slow to make pre-snap read and adjustments. Doesn't read the field post snap. Footwork is choppy. Clutches back in the pocket. Doesn't step up. Runs sideways and continues to pat the football.
And how many completions are ever put on the money? Guys are having to jump, lunge or turn back to catch most of his passes. A questionable fundamentals foundation and that is the result.
Give me an above average IQ with average physical ability over the opposite any day. There are only a handful of QBs in the league that have both. Alex vs. Kaep showed yesterday. I trust in my avatar.

Maybe they could afford better ones if Alex didn't sign that fat contract or if they had never traded all those picks for him to begin with.

I still can not for the life of me understand why you hate Alex Smith so much.

You think he sucks, he plays in your division, you should be his biggest fan. Instead you are a bitter bitch like he slept with your mom.
I don't hate Smith. Pointing out that he is an extremely limited game manager at best, which is a fact, is not hating. The only reason I even post about the guy is because of his annoying-ass fans flooding the board with their residual Whiners board drama and horrendous football takes.

Funny you should mention horrible football takes. It was so cute listening to you cry all last season about how bad rivers was and how your beloved chargers would have a top pick.

You are a whiny little girl.

Trading all those picks? How is 2004 working out for you?

I would have never thought this Alex Smith thread would end up just like all the other Alex Smith threads.

I'm shocked. Shocked I say!

As I go back through this game, I really am seeing a lot of positives moving forward. The failures inside the RZ do a lot to mask just how well KC moved the ball in most instances.. and that was with lots of questionable playcalling.

If the Chiefs O can stop taking 3 steps back after two forward, they can really do something this season. It's the defense that leaves me still feeling like 2014 is forfeit... and that's mostly due to losing DJ and a healthy Berry all year long.
