Alex Tanney

Just watched Alex Tanney on Stan Lee's super Humans on the History Channel and they put him to some accuracy tests. He threw 5 consecutive 50 yard passes within a 2 inch circle. We have had a lot of QB talk around here, do you think Tanney can translate that accuracy to the NFL? He is currently on the Reserve/injured list and I think should get a serious look. You can't coach that kind of accuracy and God knows it has been lacking from the QB position for a long time in KC!!

The fact that he was carried all of last year makes me think the previous regime thought he was something special. The fact that he didn't see a single snap during preseason when everybody was CLAMORING to see him, and our QB position looked like a cheap Chinese buffet, makes me think they didn't want anybody else to have tape of the kid and wanted to give him a year of development before they gave him a real shot.

I choose to believe that Alex Tanney will take over the starting role in a Cinderella story, tears in his eyes, I guess, and make us champions of the world.

I think it was a move by Pioli to make himself look like a genious.

What better way to top finding a HoF QB in the 6th round of the draft than finding one as a UDFA out of a D3 school?

Warner at least played professional football though.. even if it was 3rd tier behind NFL and CFL.

I wonder what his real downside is. Accuracy is a great ability to have. If he has pocket presence and the ability to read a defense, the kid could be good.
It was scrimages. I have a feeling his problem is what other rookies like him struggle with. Taking the ball from under center, step back and fire it accurately with someone in his face

It probably would've helped if Daboll and Zorn decided to coach him up too instead of strictly focusing on Cassel.
