Unusual Royals game last night. Both teams were constantly threatening to score most of the game. How many soft outs did Shields get last night?
Gordon sure has had some memorable shots in the last two months. |

I hate to pat my own back (who am I kidding, no I don't!!!!) but Ned has done everything I've asked so far this series ... including finally stretching out our bullpen beasts more than 3 outs.
I'm glad he's smart enough to not throw Vargas against that murderers row of lefty bashers |

At least this way, Shields, Ventura, and Guthrie will have 2 games apiece and the obligatory lefty starter that we have to go with is only game 4.

If you must throw a lefty, throw one with elite stuff against this lineup (Duffy). But hey, in Ned [I'm starting to] trust.

Hootie's right...it depends how the next two games go. I do think Duffy's the best pitcher available other than Ace and Shields, but look what Vargas did in Anaheim in Game 1? When you're playing with #royalsdevilmagic, maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe we could start Aaron Crow and still win at this point.

Ned is 3 for 3 do far. If we're up 2-1 give the kid his chance to shine (Duffy). Nothing to lose, and potentially, if he kills it, you get a guy with ace stuff tons of confidence. That's my move if I'm manager. But I could see Vargas, Duffy, or Shields starting that game depending on circumstance.
