Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Anybody own a Walther PPS 9? I came very close to buying one at a gun show yesterday. Felt like it was custom made for fitting my hand. Loved everything about the feel. Guy only wanted $459 after a bit of talking, which I thought was crazy cheap. Would like to fire one for sure. Might be my next purchase.

Any opinions?

OK I finally got a MA Class A LTC. So I was thinking of a .22lr semi auto. I figured it would be cheaper to shoot than .223 and a good entrance into an AR type rifle.. any suggestions? I was looking at the Colt and the Winchester. Is this a smart move?

Very nice IMO,I don't own one but I have fired this model at the range quite often.I prefer Ruger and Springfield but Walther makes a very solid firearm. With me it always depends on what I intend to do with it but I carry both 9mm's and .45's depending on what I'm wearing that particular day and I could see the PPS fitting the bill perfect.

I will check that one too. I didnt like the 10 shot clip or the pain it is to change clips on the Mossberg. I guess they sell a 25 shot clip now for it.

I did my research and most people recommended the Sig 522 or the S&W M&P 15-22, but it seemed like more people had problems with the 15-22.

I was checking out the S&W. I like the clip release, and the solid barrel. I couldn't find that about the Sig. But these look good. I will wander to a gun shop to check them out. WalMart prolly sells them your way, but they got out of the firearms business in Mass. So we get to pay retail at gun shops.

Their is some cheesy-ness to the Mossberg hence the lower price.
