IF they understand Twitter or not it doesn't really matter if you read the comments people blindly follow.

Kansas City itself has a problem with critical thinking. These are the same people who thought it was a good idea to polish a turd in the middle of nowhere with tax payer money and spend millions on a shitty science exhibit.

The whole leadership of Kansas City has been a failure if people can't critically think about that stuff I wouldn't expect them to question their beloved sports teams.
