People sure have aligned themselves with Geno. It seems that for several here, if the Chiefs don't take him, many will give up on Dorsey and Reid, a few already have. I think it's silly. Geno isn't some no brainer, there are teams drafting later than us that apparently think Smith is a reach even at their spot, and frankly, he is. Its only the value of the position that's putting him as high as he is. I know people are sick of bringing up last year, but this isn't Luck, Geno is a reach anywhere in the top ten, but someone will do it, and hope. Not reaching for a player won't make me angry.

It's a ChiefsPlanet thing. Most fans on any other online Chiefs community realize this.

Most other online Chiefs communities are stacked to the rafters with ****ing idiots. They're passionately ****ing stupid about this team and the ebb and flow of the modern NFL. So...there's that.

I don't put that on Reid and Dorsey though. They shouldn't inherent the QB decision of past regimes. If they decide to take a QB they don't believe in because this fan base has suffered so long, and they deserve a first round QB, just to have one, I'll lose all respect for them.

Guess what the Chiefs have that NO OTHER desperate and QB-deprived team has in this draft?

Kansas City is PERFECT for Geno. And frankly, I think Geno is perfect for Kansas City and Andy Reid. This was a match made in heaven, and if the Chiefs are too stupid to recognize the potential here, then they truly are no better than ***** or Carl, regardless of whatever QB mess they inherited.

Geno would be coming from the same offense that Reid is planning to run.

Reid is the master of qbs. And Geno could improve so much.

Would Aaron Rogers be Aaron Rogers if he was thrown into a David Carr type of situation versus sitting for three years and digesting the NFL speed, defenses, routes, etc?

Geno has every tool you want from a high level NFL QB prospect. The Chiefs signed Alex Smith, who gives you two years to bring this team up to speed. Geno learns the league behind Smith, runs the scout team, does his film study, understands the coverages, the defenses, the player tendencies. He's the guy who is going to be in the film room getting ready for his time.

It's a perfect situation. The best QB for the system, the time to bring him along properly and the GM and coaching staff to help him get there.

If Alex Smith could make all the throws and was accurate, you might be on to something. That shoulder injury really messed up his career, imo. But thems the breaks.
