QB Narratives for this postseason:

This could be fun, I think.

A lot of these QB's (sans maybe Newton) have a lot to gain with their "legacy" by winning the 2015 Super Bowl, let's project what would occur if each were to win Super Bowl XLIX!

Tom Brady : 4 time champ; 6 time AFC champ; solidifies his position as greatest ever.

Peyton Manning: 2 time champ; first QB to ever win a Super Bowl with 2 different teams (I think?); 4 time AFC champ. Firmly puts him in the top 3 best ever, with many (myself included) arguing he is the greatest to ever lace them up (remember, he took Jim Caldwell to a Super Bowl.)

Joe Flacco: 2 time champ; Underdog in 8 straight playoff wins. Clutchest postseason QB ever?

Tony Romo: Super Bowl win firmly entrenches Tony Romo as a hall of famer, potentially 1st ballot.

Russell Wilson: 7-1 in the postseason to start his career. 1 loss coming in a game where he posted an amazing 91 QBR and led his team back from a 20 point 1st half deficit. Back to back Super Bowl champ. Solidifies himself as this generation's Tom Brady and the new face of the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers: 2 time champ. Most physically gifted QB ever to lace up a pair of cleats. Still only 31 years old. On pace to eclipse Manning/Brady status?

Andrew Luck: Beats Peyton in the playoffs. Beats Tom in the AFCCG. Beats Russell in the Super Bowl. Solidifies himself as the face of the NFL, lives up to his prospect status, firmly projects himself to be the G.O.A.T.

Cam Newton: Defense carried him to a Super Bowl. Wears chain necklaces and is too black to ever win another Super Bowl. Probably will get 5 offseason tattoos and be caught on a beach wearing a 49ers cap.

@ the Newton narrative. Perfect for this place.

However, I think the most physically gifted QB ever was Randall Cunningham, even if he did beat out Kenny Mayne at UNLV.

If Baltimore (lol) wins another Super Bowl this year ... lmao

it'll literally be the greatest 8 game playoff run ever ... and nothing would even come close to matching it

they have been 7 point underdogs just about every single time and they just keep finding ways to win

that said, I am FIRMLY cheering for New England this week and that might be the 1st and only time you'll ever hear me say that

Ha. Yeah. I was trying to be serious and the Newton narrative was too good for me to pass up.

Think Romo might have to do more than win one to get into the hall, much less first ballot. People still debate Kurt Warner and he had 2 mvp's on top of his title.

Now, since I am super biased, here is how I rate the narratives on what I want to see:

#1: Russell Wilson. He is my favorite player in the NFL.
#2: Tony Romo. Dude deserves it. Aaron Rodgers is going to abuse that shitty Dallas defense, though. That is a dream matchup for Rodgers.
#3: Peyton Manning. At the very least, I want to see him beat Tom @ New England. This would be #2 if Peyton went anywhere other than Denver.
#4: Aaron Rodgers. Love watching him play, can't fathom him beating Seattle @ Seattle when Seattle is just a terrible matchup for QB's who tend to hold the ball too long.

****GIGANTIC GAP**** (I will be unhappy to see any of these things come to fruition)

#5: Cam Newton. This means Seattle loses, and I have 8:1 at $100 on them winning the Super Bowl. The only decent futures bet I made when I was in Vegas. However, losing $100 would still be more tolerable than watching Flacco or Brady win, and also watching Andrew Luck beat Brady and then Manning, and then Wilson would be enough to make me want to puke.

HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE GAP

#6: Tom Brady. God. Gross.
#7: Andrew Luck.

HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE GAP

#8: Joe Flacco. Could you imagine that our win against San Diego with Chase Daniel will be the reason this piece of shit team wins another Super Bowl? How does Joe Flacco CONSISTENTLY back into the playoffs and then find a way to win Super Bowls? Why? Why? How? You cannot be elite if every year it takes the Chiefs to beat the Chargers for your team to back into the playoffs. Sure, he may grow a pair of don't give a **** balls in the postseason, but if you play miserable football in 5 games that your team loses and it basically costs you postseason births or first round byes on a year to year basis, you cannot be elite. That is my firm stance on this.

Good God.

My least favorite teams are the Colts, Patriots and Ravens. These teams have all easily eclipsed the Broncos and Raiders for me. In fact, how does one even hate the Raiders anymore? I just feel sorry for them.

It's really not that much different from what the Giants have done in baseball (or football for that matter).

They just happened to draw the hot seat a few times in a row.

I will cheer for the Ravens because the Patriots' effluent destroyed the Chiefs, but if an asteroid hits the stadium I'll probably piss myself in laughter.

Literally it would be.

Russell Wilson is the most overrated player I can ever recall. Rivaled only by Eli Manning and Phil Simms

I would get a little bit of an LOL out of Baltimore beating New England @ New England again. Hopefully like 28-13. I think I'd be ok with that. It would at least be good to see how Amnorix, JD and Just Passin' By spun this loss.

...and then perhaps it would set up a Rahim Moore revenge game. Where Rahim Moore has a walk-off OT game ending pick 6 against Joe "balls of steel" Flacco.

**** all the horse teams. It's bad enough that one of them is already guaranteed to be in the AFCC game.

Neither of them can win. For great justice.

The problem with the AFC is ...

The last 4 are my least 4 favorite teams in the history of football, and the history of all sports. I'm not kidding. MAYBE THE YANKEES MIX IN ... BUT EVEN THEY MAKE ME LOL NOW.

So all I can do is cheer for my favorite QB out of the mix (Peyton), hope the other 3 crash and burn in hilarious ways, and then hope Russell takes care of the AFC like it's February 2nd, 2014 all over again.

At this point, that's all I can cheer for.

Basically this.

Eli and Flacco are both scattershot deep ball chuckers, but when it's hot it's hot

that said ...

Super Bowl XLIX will feature Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady and the Patriots will win on a game ending TD drive by Tom Brady who had 0 timeouts and 1 minute from the 20 down 4 after Rodgers hit Jordy on a 73 yard picture perfect pass to take the lead.

I realized this after Joe Flacco and Andrew Luck both were the best two QB's on Wild Card weekend, you know, just to spite me.

Of those QBs, I'll be rooting for Romo primarily (although he is no doubt doomed to be blamed by idiots for his team's shitty defense once again), but would be fine with anybody other than Brady/Peyton winning a SB (really don't like the teams they play for).
