Royals DON'T buy WS tickets at current prices - Page 9

I have a few friends that deal in the secondary market professionally here in KC. (Not scalpers, technically. These guys have offices and pay taxes.) I've been told by, literally, all of them not to buy until at least Monday. All three that I've called about tickets have told me they have them, but that no one is buying at current prices...even on StubHub. They say that by game day they expect prices to drop dramatically. One even saying he expects SRO to fall to around $250 and then for prices to increase incrementally from there. He basically said people are throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks at this point, and that nothing is sticking.

Again, I went to HS with 2 of these guys, so them not trying to stiff me isn't a surprise...even though it's basically what they do for a secondary income.

If you have the scratch to buy now, go ahead I guess. But if you're on a budget, I wouldn't rule out going to a game just yet.

Wouldn't be so sure about that. When I went in 2006 Tickets were going for $600.00 for standing room only. $1,000 for nosebleeds and $2,500 - $10,000 for the lower level.

I think that is what it says in general. If they have tickets I am sure they are funneled quickly to a broker.

Right now, it looks like there is a soft floor at $400. Any time a ticket gets listed under $400, even SRO, it quickly gets bought.

I think that floor is going to break tomorrow though, there are far too many tickets still available.

I'm holding out until tomorrow afternoon. I plan to snag tickets in the 100 or 200 level.

Well, my mother in law just GAVE me a lower level ticket for game one. Now I'm really glad I've waited to buy.

I don't think that seat location actually exists. I think the 200 section starts out AA, BB, CC... Could be a typo, I guess.

400 each ticket would actually be less than the single-game box office face value. Season ticket holder face value in Sec. 218 is $250.

Yeah, I've seen this same ad posted 2-3 times already. And the seat DOES NOT exist. 200 level is all double letters. Only 400 level has both single and double letter rows.

I will not buy playoff tickets from any individual unless they are a friend, a reputable business, or I'm related to them. Period.

If I don't know you or you aren't a reputable business, then I will only buy from stubhub or the Royals where I'm pretty much guaranteed that my ticket will get me in the door.

If its just a regular season game where I could get in for $10 at the box office if I had to, then fine. These tickets here are too expensive and important to risk a scam.

Just got my flight up. There are 5200 tickets listed right now. I may wait until Tuesday to buy my ticket to game 2. These prices will come down more.
