Again, I've not read the entire book.

So, here it goes:

Pretty enjoyable movie overall. Like many I was worried about some of the CGI - but, I don't think there was any CGI that took away from the movie. The zombies reminded me of a better version of the "creatures" in I Am Legend.

I geeked out so hard for entire Israel scene. That to me, was bad ****ing ass.

There were plenty of WTF moments. I would like to share some with you as soon as more people have seen the movie.

The bald kid in the previews was a huge spoiler. But, not in the way many people will think.

My only real complaint was the ending. Didn't they blow another two million to re-film the end? Makes you wonder how bad the original ending was. Goodness.

They did kind of leave it open for a possible sequel. That's just my interpretation.

As far as the crowd - probably 3/4 full. A lot of people talking about it afterwards - I perceived that a lot of them enjoyed it. A bunch of ****ing nerds wearing zombie shirts too. I'm a zombie mark...but not enough to wear zombie apparel.

I think it was worth the price of admission. I enjoyed it all - but the ending seemed just thrown together.

Alright just got back from watching the movie and here's my take.

And yes, I've read the book, the movie just borrowed the title of the book is about all it has in common. So quit reading this review if that is going to make you fuss and throw a tantrum and hold your breath until your face turns blue.

The movie is suspenseful and intense from the beginning but not very gory and bloody to get the PG-13 ratings. I never found the movie to lag it kept moving holding your interest. The casting of the main characters was solid, though most of them had relatively small parts outside of Brad Pitt. The acting was good throughout and the CGI I had no complaints with at all, impressive actually.

I like zombie movies in general and I think this one is up there with the best of them, with many more locations in this then holed up on a farm, at a Mall or an amusement park. Very pleased with the pace of the movie and it was sprinkled throughout with hoards of zombies attacking mercilessly the people of the world. The ending could have been better but was alright. Outside of this movie not being based on the book (almost an impossible task if you ask me) I would give it 4/5 stars. My perception afterwards to the audience leaving the theater were positive.

Looks like it was released in IMAX in select international cities.

We saw this last night and really liked it. The entire audience seemed pleased and the movie received quite a few applauses at the end.

I liked it. A sequel would be better positioned to follow the book but since they had so many issues with this one I'm guessing that part 2 isn't in the cards.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but I do love me some modern zombie takes. Love Walking Dead, 28 days series, Zombieland (of course). So take it fwiw.

Good movie. Full of action and suspense. My only complaint is the open-ended conclusion, but clearly they're planning a sequel.
I said I wouldn't see this, but my son talked me into it (I'm not much for the whole zombie thing). I'm glad he did.

we liked it. never read the book. the fact that the airplane they were flying on kept changing from scene to scene from a C-130 to something else bugged the hell out of me though. Inexcusable for a production like this.
