Lynn and Craig in a deal, probably at best, would bring back a 3/4 type starting pitcher at this point anyway, so the discussion is moot.

This is true.

I'm just not sure he'll ever be a 20 plus HR per season player, added to his age and injury history and that contract starts to look, well, not so great.

Especially if he's a RF'er basically at all times with what we have in the pipeline in the OF.

He is taking some horrible AB's. So is Carpenter.

Said above average hitter is a defensive liability who's offense that normaly overshadows that liability appears to be diminished (early this season).

We aren't hitting the ball in part because said hitter is as Hamas said "at Pete Kozma levels" and with the contract he's being paid, thats not really acceptable.
