Chiefs Trade G Rishaw Johnson to Buccaneers for S Kelcie McCray
http://nfltraderumors.co/chiefs-trad...kelcie-mccray/
Buccaneers HC Lovie Smith announced Thursday that they have traded S Kelcie McCray to the Chiefs in return for G Rishaw Johnson, per the Pewter Report. Johnson, 25, signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of California University of Pennsylvania. he was reportedly competing with rookie Zach Fulton for the Chiefs right guard position. There is no question the Buccaneers could use some extra depth at guard, which appears to be one of their biggest issues on their current roster. Last edited by TLO; 08-21-2014 at 01:08 PM.. |

We aren't usually saying "there's always next year." We're usually saying "three years from now…." That's the difference. |

I really hope the Chiefs have the balls to realize that the current rotation isn't going to get much worse.
Fisher - Hudson - Kush - Linkenbach - Stephenson It's not great, but it's better than the steaming pile of shit they have right now. |

Our O-Line ESPECIALLY guard position is dogshit. Nicks retiring really ****ed the Bucs. Lovie wasted picks on a slow out of shape WR, a 3rd string running back that is already out for the season and will be a 25 year old rookie next year. Completely ignored the offensive line. Sure they drafted a couple of nobodies in later rounds.

If they were going to rebuild then they should have started LAST year. Instead we faked it for a year and duped the fan base into thinking we were in win now mode. This offseason has been complete horseshit.

You might be, but most of us that have watched this cluster**** of a franchise for too many ****ing years to count are saying "probably not in my lifetime".

What I said is that average guards shouldn't get paid $5M when you can pick a guy off the street to play it. I said that the Chiefs have 5 options in Johnson, Kush, Watkins, Allen, Hudson who could fill in and I thought 3 would at least be passable. I said repeatedly that Schwartz was a much safer option, but that I don't care about getting rid of him because frankly I really could care less if we're bad at Guard. If we suck at Guard, you use a 3rd or 4th round pick on one or you find one off the scrap pile. Because I've been pushing for a gradual rebuild what I said is these guys are stopgaps until you can draft a replacement in the lower rounds. If Linkenbach, Kush, moving Hudson to Guard, or Watkins by game 5 end up even a step below Schwartz, then I don't see any reason to complain. I absolutely think it's possible that our Guard play won't be much worse than last season. |

Months later… think we all know that Jairus Byrd is not going to fix Bob Sutton. Emmanuelle Sanders adds spark, but not with a broken offensive line. And keeping Albert/Schwartz plus signing Sanders/Byrd was going to make it ultra difficult to keep Charles, Berry, Houston, let alone Alex Smith. But at the very least, we made moves this offseason that give us a lot more comp picks, free up space to sign Charles, Berry, Houston, Smith, and give us plenty of spending power starting next year and especially going into 2016. I think we'll hit a bump this year and then be very competitive in 2015, if our draft picks pan out. Granted, I don't know how the picks will pan out because our 2013 draft was lousy. |

nothing like pissing away all the in the prime talents of some pro bowl players and guys who will go down as some of the best Chiefs in the franchises history with nothing to show for it but two winning seasons and a bunch of stinker years. |

Like I've said many times, this is a good approach but only if you draft extremely well. Dorsey has a high bar and so far he's fallen way short. |

If you keep drafting well and you free up money to invest in other superstars, those guys can be replaced. But you have to keep drafting well. And you know what, even if we keep our superstars, we have to draft well. So it all comes down to the draft. Did I mention that? |

Lack of a consistent plan is a huge issue. Either rebuild or win, flopping back and forth is death. We shouldn't have traded for Alex Smith We shouldn't have paid Bowe a billion dollars We shouldn't have signed Sean Smith All that talent that got us to the playoff, which isn't apparently good enough to win now with, should have been traded/dumped. ....etc,etc,etc You want to talk about our salary cap being worse than we think? What Dorsey did last year made it worse, much worse. I haven't seen anything particularly good about the way Dorsey drafts either. Cluster **** central
