TMZ reports that police are investigating an alleged incident at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami this month.

The investigation is described as in the “beginning stages.” No details were provided about the nature of the allegations against Kaepernick.

TMZ reached out to Kaepernick’s agent and the 49ers and neither had any comment.

UPDATE 12:43 p.m. ET: The 49ers released the following statement from General Manager Trent Baalke: “The 49ers organization is aware of the recent media report regarding Colin Kaepernick and is in the process of gathering the pertinent facts.”

The report doesn't say she is an accuser. It says she is a woman who woke up in a hospital with an incomplete timeline of her previous night. They start an investigation where she last remembers things. The facts are completely unavailable at the moment. I always struggle with the line between public awareness of police work and privacy before charges are filed, but tend to err on the side of public awareness.

However, whatever assholes are making money feeding stories to TMZ and others from courthouses and police stations should get some morals. They make due process very difficult. Famous people can't file a document or a noise complaint or anything without it hitting the news.

I've never been accused of rape but i have been accused of sexual harassment in the workplace.

Thank goodness she was mouthy about it. She bragged to people about how she knew just what to say to get me into trouble. I didn't get along with her boyfriend(who worked there too) and they got together and decided to go after me.

When I was much younger, I was working at a place, and this girl I worked with came in wearing an outfit that I'm sure was meant to be pajamas. The only think missing was the footies. it was literally the fluffy material, and matching top and pants.
I thought we were close enough that I could rib her a little bit, and so I would laugh at her and say, "Nice pajamas." I didn't even run it into the ground. That's really all I said, and I only said it once or twice. Later that day I get called in to see the manager, and she's sitting there, and they tell me I've been sexually harassing her. I asked what was sexual about what I said, and they bullshitted around it for a few minutes (the "manager" was pretty dumb), until i finally said, "I apologize that I brought up your outfit looks like pajamas. But if you are going to accuse me of sexual harassment, please take it up with the company, and make your case there.

Was listening to them talk about this on sports talk radio here in Wisconsin when a 49ers fan called in and blasted them by saying the "only woman Colin Kaepernick has sexually assaulted is the Packers defense".

Even the host had to give him credit for that one.
