What Berry is, is a ****ing cornerback that sticks to the tight end. He pretty much makes other teams tight ends non existent. Ithink only one tight end actually did anything against him last year. I could be wrong, its late and i need sleep!

I will tell you this, there are a bunch of whiny bitches on CP the last few years and their response to anyone who isn't is "you are a homer".

Its hilarious and very quickly points out the fools.

This place is in panic right now over jack and shit. I think most of the people enjoy the negative.
Because you predict 11 wins and playoffs every year. You looked pretty damn stupid 2 off seasons ago...

You're a ****ing moron.

Berry's rookie year, they were 11th in points against and 14th in yards.

The year he was hurt, they were 12th in point against and 11th in yards.

2010, Berry's rookie season.

5283 total offensive yards allowed, 38 TDs, and 14 INTs.

2011, season without Berry.

5333 total offensive yards allowed, 38 TDs, and 20 INTs.

2012, with Berry back from injury.

5704 total offensive yards allowed, 47 TDs, and 7 INTs.

These are just raw statistics and not a shot at Berry.

Just in terms of NWO's moronic argument, we've had 3 seasons with Berry and 1 without.

In TWO of those 3 seasons, we've allowed less points than in 2011 without him.

All other arguments about Berry aside, the assertion that "we haven't had a better year on defense than when Eric Berry was hurt" is hilariously stupid.

I like Berry and think he has all of the athletic potential in the world, but he's not yet a game-changing type of player at the S position like Brian Dawkins, Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, etc. all were. Of course, while it is a bit unfair to compare him to HOF caliber players, he was a top 10 pick who is getting paid on the old rookie wage scale so I don't feel too bad doing it. He's young and his arrow is pointing up, but I'm just not quite sure if he has the same level of instincts to match his athleticism that made those other guys (Lott, Woodson, Dawkins, Reed, etc) truly special.

Part of it may just be that he's been moved around too much and has yet to be allowed to mature into any one role. Only time will tell.

I'll agree with that, certainly. I'd be much more inclined to blame our DCs vs a single safety on our team, excluding Kendrick Lewis of course. Lewis was truly a crapfest last year.

The Chiefs currently have about $4.5 million in cap room, and Jackson’s 2014 cap number is $4.25 million. That’s a tight fit, and remember, the Chiefs will still need $4 million or $5 million to sign their upcoming draft picks.

However, this is probably a good time to point out that Washington only had about $6.3 million in cap space before it signed Jackson, which isn’t that much more than the Chiefs had. So just to be sure, I asked salary cap expert and former agent Joel Corry if the Chiefs could have made Jackson’s new deal work.

“It would have been tough,” Corry said. “They would have to restructure people in order to accommodate that.”

The Crips street gang announced today they will be releasing DeSean Jackson, amidst rumors of possible ties with one of the most troubled and controversial franchises in the NFL, the Washington Redskins.

“We enjoyed our time with Desean. We had a lot of good years together,” said an anonymous Crips member. “But we don’t want his rumored association with such a terrible institution to sully our name. We’re a group that represents intimidation and toughness, and his ties with Washington contradict those values. So it was best to cut ties.”

The announcement came just days after being released from the 10-6 Philadelphia Eagles. Jackson will be joining a Washington Redskins team who finished the 2013 season with a 3-13 record.

“And don’t get me started on the name controversy,” the Crips member added. “While we may be known as a group that commits crimes such as larceny, drug trafficking and murder, we are NOT known as a group that supports racial stereotypes towards Native Americans. How the NFL hasn’t changed the team name or logo is something we here in the Crips are baffled by and discuss frequently.”

The release comes as a shock to many, as Jackson was only 27 years-old, arguably in the prime of his crime committing career.

“I’d like to emphasize this decision was not based on his gang related performance; he excelled in those regards,” stated another Crips member, referring to the wide receivers rumored connections with two murders. “This is STRICTLY about being affiliated with the Washington football team and avoiding such negative influence on our younger members.”

While it’s not known who the Crips will look to sign to replace Jackson, rumors are they’ve been in heavy contact with the Cincinnati Bengals and expect a signing in the near future.

For one thing, I think most of us remember berry playing a bit tentative in 2012 until he trusted his legs. More importantly, romeo was the main reason the defense sucked. The defense played sloppy and uninspired.

So virtually identical with/without Berry while playing the same if not tougher offenses in 2011.

You make no sense.
