yeah....

A couple years ago I would have disagreed with you. Sure, Denny isn't as loud and energetic as others, but he was great for sticking with what is happening to the baseball and calling the game.

That was a couple years ago. Now he's just mailing it in. Dude needs to retire, enjoy the well-deserved accolades of a career well-spent, and let a younger man take over.

Seriously though, do any of you remember the games with Denny Matthews and Denny Trease? May it's just me but it seems like I remember a lot of silence during those games like between pitches and what not. And you always got the score and game situation. I don't remember hearing novel stories about where the other pitcher met his girlfriend or where the other 2nd basemen's Mom went grocery shopping
